Update.
Ok, we have a resolution to the potential withdrawal of a team from the comp and it ended up not being either option I anticipated the other day.
Andrew had a team not in the comp (through my oversight frankly
) and he offered to bring them (Clyne Crusaders) in as a replacement. He didn't think it fair to inherit their results but also didn't want to extend the comp (particularly when we are off to such a great start in terms of completing matches) so he has offered to take over the fixtures and only catch up the other two matches if we have weeks available (ie other games are missed by others over the next 4 weeks).
Kildare have been taken over by Paul (Thorby Baslim) and he has said he is not sure he will be able to complete all friendly matches so he felt it best not to continue Kildare's involvement.
All fixtures and tables have been updated to reflect the changes.
Many thanks to all 3 managers involved in this, from Rob who was as helpful as possible both in terms of letting me know as early as possible whilst completing his games at a point when many wouldn't have bothered to (I can think of one manager who did precisely that last season, dropping their own team and not even bothering to let me know so we wasted weeks on unnecessary catch up games), through Paul for his honest assessment of the potential for missed games , through to Andrew who came up with the idea to potentially only play 4 games and be happy with that.
