Ok, am now waiting on Razor waking up and coming on here and confirming that Chris has missed his games again and that will cover the matches for this week ta.

Just to re-confirm if Chris' teams don't play their games next monday they will be removed from the comp as otherwise it is going to take a month or more just to make up the games and I have no intention of having everyone who has played each of their games on time have to wait that long to play a game.

Hopefully Chris' internet issues will be resolved but as they have basically been ongoing for what seems like over a season now I can't say as I am confident...

Just to confirm it appears Chris' internet issues are no closer to being resolved so if/when Forest and Eastwood fail to play their games tonight they will be removed from the competition.

Unlike certain managers in past seasons the missed games won't be treated as a deliberate attempt to mess others around as I have no doubt as to Chris' honest intentions so both sides will be welcomed with open arms for next season's competition (assuming Chris is online by then !).

Right, Chris's two sides are removed from the comp.

Sadly the unwritten rule has always been to remove a manager's teams if they fail to no show for 3 straight weeks and Gingerknob has managed that so right at this minute his five will be removed.

Because of the loss of sides via dropped sides, internet issues and just going awol the rule re awarded matches not counting towards prizes in the group stage is being rescinded in fairness to all teams as clearly way too many sides have been affected this season.

Got to say right now I wonder why I bother..

That said I want to send a big thank you to all who have played all their matches or even those who have missed games but have been completely upfront about it and still make an effort (like yourself Marc for example). Considering what some have done or more specifically not done your efforts, be it in playing or at least being honest about it are GREATLY appreciated.

Right, I am posting this in both locations (here and chat) to make sure everyone is aware of the changes to the Super Cup.

Because of the removal of Jon and Chris' sides we now have 3 two team groups and 3 three team groups.

Consequently I have changed the qualifiers to the following -

All group winners (as before)
3 best runner's up from the four team groups
1 best runner up from the three team groups
1 best runner up from the two team groups

Then a play off between the other two runner's up in the two team groups (sudden death one game, home team is determined by the team with the better record) to determine the final qualifier.

The reason for the last bit is simply to try and give managers who have found themselves having very few matches getting some sort of value for money. Bear in mind those groups won't be producing a third place team to take prize money (those funds will get spread between the other sides as stated at the start of the comp) so getting basically half the two team group teams through seems as fair a compromise as possible for being unlucky enough to be drawn with teams that have vanished from the comp.

Apologies to all affected but this is obviously beyond anyone's control.

Fixtures, tables etc to be updated shortly as am having to go back through and remove past results of removed sides.

Ok, all tables and fixtures are now completely up to date.

There are just two weeks of catch up matches now and please bear in mind that all matches not played when specified on week 9 or 10 will be awarded. In fairness to Marc who has to play both weeks this means that any other teams that miss a game they have to play on week 9 will have the match awarded at that point as it is unfair that teams on week 9 get more chances to complete a match than Marc does.

This isn't a change in rules for the record as technically I always allowed one week to catch up each fixture and hopefully with Gingerknob and Chris out of the comp we will have a smooth week next week and two smooth catch up weeks.

Because of the removals there are zero missed matches this week so a big thank you to everyone and there is no reason to post stating your friendly wasn't played this week
