I felt last week that Charscot's league season would end with tricky matches against Rhyl and Balham and with a loss already this week's match is unlikely to change anything for us now with all eyes on the cup.

Not a great record against Balham Town, who are having a surprisingly hard season but still are surely not going to relegate. I will go for a 3-1 win for us but another loss would not be a surprise particularly as more injuries on week 22 have left us short of players on form.

Dep El have just about kept in touch with the sides above them and we host 11th placed The Northerners in an enormous match this week. Despite the 4 place gap if we win we go above them as it is very close at the bottom of the table. No Mild for our opponents is good news for us but hasn't hurt them that much yet. That said a sneaky 2-1 win for us (please !).

Wascisco are flying and we go to Spondon Phoenix who haven't lost since they started the season with an opening day loss. An exceptional run and they are clearly going up. However, Wascisco are flying right now and have beaten fellow promotion chasers Colwyn and Beeston in the past 2 weeks at a time when losses would have sent us plummeting. Have a feeling if Spondon are going to lose any games in the rest of the season this is the one so a 2-1 win for us but Phoenix will go on to win the division.

Ziaste also face a relegation battle as they go to Broomhall Lions. We are 5 points ahead of them so a win would be great and a draw more than respectable enough. Lions have pulled out some great results to turn things around and a point for us would be a step towards safety. 2-2 draw.

Castle Rock just failed to win the easiest game left so I am far from confident of survival at this point. We go to Teessside Reds who don't do draws so there is some hope we can grab a win. We have the better side but Craig has done a far better job this season than I have. 3-1 to Teesside.

LEAGUE FIXTURES

PREMIER

Charscot Wanderers ....v.... Balham Town
A.F.C Binfield ....v.... Real Madrid
The Academy ....v.... St Joseph's BC
Longfield K.L.F ....v.... Prestatyn Town
Broomhall Lions ....v.... Ziaste Nequeno
Dep El Celtico ....v.... The Northerners
Shaolin F.C ....v.... Long Eaton Archers
Vanbrugh Royals ....v.... Rhyl F.C

PREVIEW
It's bordering on ridiculous how frequently the top of the table changes as each week the leader manages to immediately drop points.
Prestatyn Town are the new leaders despite only drawing last week and they travel to Longfield (12th) who are two points off of a relegation spot on a week when there are two big relegation match ups. A draw is almost certain on current form.
The draw will give St Joseph's BC (2nd) and The Academy (3rd) the chance to go top as they meet at The Academy. Last season's top two should cancel each other out but the hosts seem to have destiny on their side this season as so many clubs have failed to grab a proper lead in a season when The Academy have under performed by their own high standards.
Another top clash as Shaolin (4th) host Long Eaton Archers (5th) in a local derby. Neither side is fancied to win the league but they are both in touch and have everything to play for.
The bottom of the division may become a little clearer after this week. Dep El (15th) host The Northerners (11th) knowing a win will move them above at least their opponents.
Meanwhile Broomhall Lions (14th) host Ziaste Nequeno, who may be 9th but are only 5 points clear of relegation so a home win will really drag them into the battle.
Vanbrugh (bottom) pulled off an excellent shock win on week 22 but their issue is consistency as they have only had one run of good results all season and after a good result two or three bad ones follow. Visiting Rhyl (7th) will expect to win this week).
Real Madrid are fortunate to only be 13th but a loss at A.F.C Binfield (8th) will see them in a relegation spot unless both the Lions and Dep El lose.

DIV 1

Whitebrook Rangers ....v.... Southpool
Troon A.F.C ....v.... Dutch Uncles
Rivendell ....v.... Carnbroe Rovers
Los Santos Cosmos ....v.... Barton Blitz
Spondon Phoenix F.C. ....v.... Wascisco Red Sox
Beeston Athletic ....v.... Seabourne City
Colwyn Bay ....v.... Broomhall Tigers
The Academy Reserves ....v.... Callie Athletic

PREVIEW
Clash of the day in Division 1 is clearly leaders Spondon Phoenix, protecting an unbeaten run since losing on week 1, host Wascisco Red Sox who have been on fire of late including beating two promotion rivals in the last two matches. After this the Sox have the struggling clubs until the final 3 weeks of the season. Maybe Spondon's second and last defeat of the season ?
Beeston Athletic are still expected to promote and will be looking to get back to winning ways as they host Seabourne City (14th). City beat Colwyn, former promotion challengers on week 22 but Colwyn are an easy mark right now and Athletic won't be so generous.
Colwyn's promotion hopes have vanished after going on an atrocious run and they seem incapable of winning right now. Away to Broomhall Tigers (4th) is the fifth placed side's last chance of keeping in the promotion picture. However Tigers should beat them and keep the race for promotion as Spondon and any two of the next 3.
At the bottom Barton Blitz are going down and they can help former strugglers Los Santos Cosmos (10th) by losing as Cosmos pull away from the threat of relegation.
Troon (15th) have done well to get close to escaping the top 3 and if they beat visiting Dutch Uncles (11th) then Dutch will step closer to yet another yo-yo between this division and division 2.
The Academy Reserves (13th) are a surprise this season as they are threatening to relegate for successive seasons. Visiting Callie Athletic (7th) are only 5 points above the hosts showing how close man of these clubs are this season.
Rivendell (12) are in need of wins too and host Carnbroe Rovers (6th) who have dropped away from the promotion battle as their cup run seems to take a toll.

DIV 2

Requiem Shark ....v.... Zakreze F.C
Long Eaton Terriers ....v.... Avlon Villa
Space Cadets ....v.... Cookie United
Rapid Gentrification ....v.... Carnbroe United
Teesside Reds ....v.... Castle Rock Furies
Kilmarnock ....v.... Broomhall U23s
Ynysfawr Athletic ....v.... Sleaford Town
Academy Allstars ....v.... MTK Budapest

PREVIEW
The top two meet this week but the result will have zero bearing on the title as leaders Requiem Shark are 14 points clear of Zakreze F.C.
Ynysfawr Athletic are likely to promote with them and should beat visiting Sleaford Town (12th) this week.
Carnbroe United are the only club with a realistic chance of chasing down any of the top 3 and a hard match at Rapid Gentrification (7th) may see them lose more ground.
The relegation battle is more involved with 6 clubs still fighting to survive.
Like Sleaford, Cookie United are likely to lose this week at Space Cadets (5th) as are Castle Rock Furies (15th) at Teesside Reds (6th).
Avlon Villa (8th) should win at Long Eaton Terriers (13th). Kilmarnock look relegated and visiting Broomhall U23s will hope to win.
MTK Budapest (14th) need a win to get out of the bottom 3 and they look to have the best chance of a win out of the bottom six, even with a taxing trip to Academy Allstars (9th).

DIV 3

Mancs F.C. ....v.... Bembridge F.C
Barton Hills United ....v.... Caglibari Calcio
Greenwich Mariners ....v.... Abergarwed Athletic
Gleadless United ....v.... Blackheath Tigers
Real Blades ....v.... Bank Vale United
British Sea Power ....v.... New Town A.F.C
Old Town Athletic ....v.... Bala Town F.C.
Tempest Pervade ....v.... Birstall United

PREVIEW
The five horse race for promotion should see little change at the top.
After Gleadless got an excellent win at Abergarwed on week 22 both sides face Guy's training sides and both should win without any issue.
Real Blades (2nd) should win at home to Bank Vale United (10th).
Caglibari Calcio (3rd) just won't drop away from the battle despite their squad limitations and they will go to Barton Hills (6th) and probably pull off another win.
Mancs F.C (4th) host Bembridge (9th) to complete what should be wins for all the top five.
Tempest should go back to losing after getting their first win of the season against a useless Bala Town side on week 22.

TWO TO WATCH

Premier Division - The Academy ....v.... St Joseph's BC

Hard to look past this match today as the winner of this is likely to be Champions in 8 weeks time. Winner will no doubt go top as the league leaders never seem to win after going top and a Prestatyn draw will leave them open to be overtaken by these two. St Joseph's have been the more solid side, staying in or around the top all season. The Academy have been very inconsistent compared to their recent high standards but it feels like the Champions are meant to win it all again and a home win will see them probably go top for the first time this season. 2-0 to The Academy

Division One - Spondon Phoenix F.C. ....v.... Wascisco Red Sox

These two are looking good to both be promoted come the end of the season. Spondon last lost on week 1 whilst Wascisco have been scoring for fun this season, clearly outscoring the rest of the division by double digits. Wascisco have beaten two promotion hopefuls in the past two games and will hope to be the second team to take 3 points from Spondon. Spondon will win the division as they are just too consistent. However, for one week they will be the losers. 2-1 to Wascisco

After 3 horrible defeats, Southpool have made wholesale changes.
Will they work? Probably not

MTK Budapest are away to Academy Allstars and have finally got a fully fit squad to choose from. Nine games to go and we are still inside the bottom three. Confident of staying up but nine cup finals left.

After KLF's draw at St Joseph's last week, we face this weeks leaders Prestatyn. Will be gunning for a win as we need to get points on the board quickly!!

Two big games in a row for the Academy which will see were we stand in regards to the league! Can be a bit hit and miss so not confident but first up St Joseph’s BC I’m hopping the home advantage can sway it :?
My main worry was trying to keep Sleaford up after taking over and starting to build but the Reserves have continued to slip down, for them to go down would be disastrous for me! Hoping they can sort things out!

After last weeks surprise win Vanbrugh could do anything this week; however Mike has had the better of our recent meetings so I'm expecting the worst.

Rivendell need can only improve (hopefully!!) after their shot shy performance last week. A home game against Carnbroe Rovers will not be easy, another draw.

Beeston need to recover from last weeks trouncing quickly. A home game against strugglers Seabourne could be the tonic they need.

Real Blades at home against Bank Vale, need a good win to keep us in the promotion mix

Gleadless United are up against 2nd from bottom Blackhealth at home, a win again would keep us within touching distance / if not in the top 3.

  That is a fair statement as we are poor

Both stuck in the middle and both closer to bottom than the top. For that reason I expect a draw.

Delighted with the results as the main 3 were all superb.

Charscot take apart jinx side Balham, winning 4-0 which helps Dep El greatly by keeping Town involved in the relegation battle.

Dep El move out of the bottom 3 with a enormous 1-0 win over fellow strugglers The Northerners.

Wascisco win the top of the table clash 1-0 at Spondon to inflict their second defeat of the season. Fully expect both sides to go up from here. Great month as we faced 3 top four sides and beat them all and are still unbeaten in months in the league now :D

Ziaste lose to two late goals at Broomhall Lions who beat us 3-2.

Castle Rock look relegated going down 3-1 at Teesside Reds.

Well one of us had to lose this Month, typical it was us, but fair play to Sox as they deserved the points, & they get revenge for the defeat from earlier in the season, the lead is cut to three points with eight games left
