Thanks, according to the rules you should be awarded the match but I am loathe to do it at this stage of the comp to be honest.

However, can't wait forever for Bo either....

Got an elbow in the face playing football and spent a couple of hours in the hospital yesterday. Only thought about the final this morning. Game is down for next week!

Congrats to Bo on winning the final and well done to Dorrie for his continued consistency in the comp.

Ok, it is now (thanks to lazy Mods in other leagues who couldn't be bothered to do this themselves so now everyone has to be treated this way, sigh) up to managers to put for the prize money to be added on their misc orders on the client.

I have e-mailed Glynn who is getting what but it still needs to be put on the orders for next week.

The only part that is done without the manager's involvement is the awarding of the bril youth player so Bo, he will appear in your squad on week 1 to maximise the length of time in the youth team.

The rest is up to yourselves to put down.

The money is divided as follows -

AMSTERDAM A's £ 6,500,000

BROOMHALL TIGERS £ 3,250,000

CALLIE ATHLETIC £ 500,000

LONG EATON ARCHERS £ 500,000

C.F YOB OOB £ 250,000

Prize money IS going to extend to the two semi-finalists and also the worst team in the comp again this season (as well as the usual bril youth player).

There is still room for teams to be added if there are further entries made before the comp starts so if you have yet to enter but want to then reply to this post or pm myself (the sooner the better) :-)

Not as bad as Gingerknob who got two in the same group in a 3 team group !

Also Guy has two of his in the same group as well.

Not being funny but couldn't you seed the draw so teams from the same manager don't play each other in the groups stage.

Nope. The whole point is for the draw to be completely random. Law of averages says that a manager with a lot of teams (like Jon) is always likely to get two teams in the same group of 4 somewhere.

It is very unfortunate when a manager with less teams (Guy or Wesley in the latest draw) have two drawn together but it works both ways. They double their chances of winning the group by having more teams in the group and with over half the groups having a second placed side progress too there is absolutely nothing stopping a manager getting all their sides into the later rounds.

No reason at all to change anything about the draw as it is fairer to simply leave it completely random as that is the fairest way of doing it.
