The final spot in the WPL Super Cup has gone to Salad Dodgers who are under new management (Paul Morris who returned to the game a couple of weeks ago).

So barring 3 teams coming forward (the minimum to make another group) in the next couple of days that is entries closed.

Fixtures, tables etc will be updated on friday when the new team name is known.

Rather than splitting the £250k extra from the last entrant between the current prizes as they are already fairly large I have decided that this £250k will be awarded to the team with the worst record so that more teams have an interest in the closing stages of the group games.

The final winner will be decided in the same way as the other breakdowns, namely fewest points then worst goal difference, fewest goals scored.

If still tied at this point the sides will play a two leg play off and the LOSER of this two legged affair takes the money.

After discussions with Glynn re the friendly bug it has been decided that ALL friendlies in the competition starting in a week's time are to be played via the miscellaneous orders.

The friendly page is not reliable at this stage so anyone who uses this page and has their friendlies not played will not get credit for it if a game has to be awarded.

As usual it isn't about what you have sent but what your html sheets have written on them when you get them back.

I got the your friendly wasn't played as your opponent did not confirm the match message.

I returned from Holiday recently, didn't realise that the fixtures had been changed. Therefore, not down at my end.

Ta gents. Ok blackmarks against Untouchables, Broadwalk and Ridgmount. Not a problem as should easily be able to get the games caught up

Ok, so no word from Carnbroe or Balham so neither team gets credit and both get a blackmark.

Thanks to Karl for being the only manager out of the 4 matches to actually admit they didn't have the game down (even though it must have been a long holiday as the fixtures changed before week 31 ).

Worrying if the other 3 managers who didn't post to say anything are going to continue to be so quiet and not have their games down. Fingers crossed that won't be the case.

Whilst I appreciate the head's up about games being down, posted in the weekly chats and/or the super cup thread itself unfortunately it means absolutely nothing in terms of being given credit for when matches fail.

Just to re-iterate it isn't about what you send to Glynn as far as credit goes. Credit is based purely upon what is on the html turn you get back from Glynn.

Saying you have the order down isn't changing anything. Saying on your turns it says "friendly not completed because..." is all that matters.

If Glynn misses an order or inputs it incorrectly, you incorrectly name your opponent, you incorrectly use the wrong location for the game or your orders e-mail simply gets lost in transit you will get the blackmark against you and none of the aforementioned is negated by stating hours/days in advance that games are down and sent

In other words, feel free to mention you have a game down in advance, just don't expect it to be used as evidence after the game has failed.

Poor week...normally the first week of games missed is the worst but somehow we have 7 failed matches this week out of 22.

Already know two opponents failed against Charscot and Ziaste so blackmarks against Salad Dodgers and VAG Wolfsburg. Serves me right for allowing managers to put other managers into the comp with Salad Dodgers as whenever a manager doesn't post entry directly themselves they never seem to actually put a game down

A shame Chris doesn't enter his Forest and Eastwood sides as he always manages to play himself !

Anyway the other five matches where I need to know WHAT WAS ON YOUR HTML TURN (sorry for the emphasis but so many managers are still going on about their text files).

It is fairly obvious Gingerknob didn't get his orders in this week but unless you post here to confirm what is on your html turns you will not get credit so please make sure you confirm here.
