It's been an up and down start for Charscot and we are still looking for a decent level of consistency and we need to build on the win at Balham if we don't want to be a mid-table also-ran fairly quickly. Hosting Spondon, who have been excellent in recent weeks and who are a place above us is a big match for us. We have actually lost this game at home 1-0 in our last two meetings with them and hopefully our tactics now will be better suited. Can easily see us losing but will say 2-1 to us.
Dep El have been fairly decent all things considered and we host Long Eaton Archers who trail us by 3 points so a win would be big even this early on. 1-0 to us.
Wascisco have been awful so far and nothing much seems to be working for them. New bodies are arriving (2 already in, another following this week) and hopefully once bedded in they can help us as we are getting desperate now. We host Ziaste, who have won against Dep El and Charscot already and this should be Ziaste's easiest game so no doubt they will lose now ! Wascisco to win 2-1.
Castle Rock have been ok but they should be far better and we travel to Barton Hills united, just two places below us, and we must win to push them away and keep some sort of touching distance to the top 3. 3-1 to us.

PREVIEW
Rhyl are still top but have one point from their last two games and their lead at the top has vanished. They go to Shaolin (3rd), a side that play out their games with few goals scored at either end, and if Shaolin do win the critics who feel Rhyl are a streaky side will feel they are right.
Beeston Athletic (2nd) are looking like this season's version of Prestatyn Town, promoting and challenging immediately, and if Beeston want to go one better than Prestatyn Town and win the league they will expect to win at struggling sides such as this week's opponent Balham Town (15th).
Ziaste (4th) keep winning games they shouldn't but can'#t surely be challengers. They will be looking for a third derby win of the season as they visit Wascisco Red Sox (bottom and with just one point so far).
Fifth and sixth meet at Charscot as Spondon Phoenix visit with Charscot looking to win and leapfrog the hosts.
Dep El (7th) have looked fairly solid and will hope to sneak a win over visiting Long Eaton Archers (11th).
Hard to believe that former Champions The Academy have lost four games already but by not drawing they are still far from trouble in ninth place as they host Prestatyn Town (8th).
Reigning Champions St Joseph's BC have the same win/loss record as The Academy and sit tenth and visit A.F.C Binfield (11th, adrift of BC by one goal). The loser of this game may well wonder what their season has to offer in the league.
Finally a big battle at the bottom as last season's escapees from relegation at the death are struggling again. Broomhall Lions (14th) host Zombie Nation (13th) in a game neither can afford to lose.

PREVIEW
After Vanbrugh lost on week 7 there are 3 unbeaten sides and leaders Real Madrid host Seabourne City (6th) who ended Vanbrugh's run in some style on week 7. Can City continue to beat the best in the division ? They have the squad and manager to do so although history has not been kind to them..
Longfield K.L.F (2nd) take their own unbeaten record to Los Santos Cosmos (8th). Cosmos tend to play low scoring matches so a 1-0 away win looks a popular bet.
Dutch Uncles aren't scoring many but their miserly defence has helped keep them unbeaten in third place. They go to Whitebrook Rangers (9th) who will be hoping to build on a thrashing of the 'pool on week 7.
Vanbrugh (4th) will look to return to winning ways by beating visiting Broomhall Tigers (12th). The Tigers are a strong side but the Royals should have too much going forward.
Both Rivendell (7th) and Carnbroe United (5th) have every chance of being a top flight side next season and a win for visiting United would give them a good cushion on the chasing pack.
The remaining matches are looking like relegation battles already.
Southpool, bottom with a solitary point are already seven points from safety and appear to lack the depth or quality to survive this season. They travel to Ynysfawr Athletic (10th and one of five teams on 8 points) who will expect to win with ease.
Requiem Shark (15th) can match Southpool for losses with six and have the one win to hold on to at present. They host Carnbroe Rovers (14th) who may be one place above them but have only had one loss. Their issue is the six draws to go with that one loss. If they can't turn some draws into wins they could easily relegate. This week will be a big indicator for both sides as to their hopes of staying up.
Colwyn Bay (13th) have been poor compared to last season and visiting Callie Athletic (11th) have 7 points from their last 3 games and will be confident of taking something from the match.

PREVIEW
A highly competitive division at present with most of the division capable of putting on a winning run and being in the promotion race.
The exceptions appear to be Sporting Academy (15th) and Abergarwed (16th) who are both still looking for a win this season. Both travel to teams with just one win as Sporting go to Mancs F.C (12thn), whilst Abergarwed go to Rapid Gentrification (13th).
Academy Allstars (10th) need to make the most of the teams around them playing each other as they host Zakreze F.C (10th) as do Broomhall U23s (11th) who face a far greater challenge going to Teesside Reds (5th), who are just 3 points adrift of top spot.
Top spot is currently in Space Cadets' hands and they host second placed Barton Blitz, themselves looking for an immediate return to Division 1 after relegating last season.
The Academy Reserves (3rd) are in a strong early position as they host MTK Budapest (4th) in another top of the table clash. MTK will be hoping they can curb the defeats as they already have 3 losses from seven games.
Avlon Villa (6th) are very much in touch with the top clubs and they will hope to win at Cornwall (9th) but also in the promotion picture if they can cut down the defeats.
Real Blades (7th) host Metal Militia (8th) with just one goal separating the sides.

PREVIEW
The top 3 still look a class apart and the chasing pack need to make the most of any week when two of them met each other, such as this week.
Unbeaten Gleadless United (2nd) host Academy Athletic (3rd) and will hope to win and build a gap on third.
Leaders Long Eaton Terriers are the only other unbeaten side and they won't anticipate losing to visiting New Town (11th), who will make it hard as they have been solid in defence and only lost two games despite their lowly position.
If the chasing pack want to get involved they have to win with more frequency than they have managed so far. Only 3 clubs look like challenging the top 3 and all 3 have scored a meagre 7 goals in 7 games and simply have to do better in terms of scoring.
Greenwich Mariners (4th) host local side Blackheath Tigers (12th) and should win.
Kilmarnock (6th) host Caglibari Calcio (15th) whose fabulous exploits last season are now just a distant memory with five loses already.
Castle Rock (5th) go to Barton Hills United (7th), the hardest of the 3 games by some degree and one the visitors simply have to win.
The rest of the matches involve sides who simply have to do more if they want a mention !
TWO TO WATCH
Premier Division - Shaolin F.C ....v.... Rhyl F.C
Rhyl made an excellent start to the season with five wins before claiming just a point in the following fortnight. They have often shown themselves to be a side that can bounce from a winning run to a losing run fairly easily and this lack of consistency has left them with one title when they could easily have had three by now. Hosts Shaolin F.C have never done enough to convince anyone outside the club that they are actually in the title hunt, even though they have flirted with the top 3 on occasion. A home win would certainly go some way to changing that perception but if they expect to challenge they have to find a way to score more goals as six goals from 7 matches is simply not sustainable for a title challenge over the long haul, regardless of how well their defence plays. Result 1-1 draw.
Division Two - Space Cadets ....v.... Barton Blitz
This battle of the top two involves the hosts, a side that had four last day promotion failures before last season finishing sixth facing a Barton side that after nearly promoting two seasons ago inexplicably collapsed to an easy relegation last season. Both are off to decent starts. The Cadets have long been a side that rely on their outstanding ability to score goals whilst Barton are more sure at the back. Hard to imagine the hosts being kept below two goals and a thriller should play out and over the long term hopefully both sides will promote (from my biased point of view

). Result - Cadets to win 3-2
Season TTW Record -
100% correct - 0
Score the right way - 4
Score completely wrong - 10
(Awful prediction record !!).
