Have a look at the new tabbing section for the Line-Ups and let me know what you think. Apart from a few formatting issues (the text is a bit bigger than the rest of the sheet for example), I like it. It tidies things up nicely. Instead of having 3 teams on the sheet, now you just have one and you switch between them. It will be more useful in the future when things like tactics / subs / indiv orders are also added. Having 3 squads listed one below the other with all of those options could get confusing. Now you can switch to the team you're working on without overlapping onto the other squads.

A few questions though...

Does it work ok on phones? (Can't test it myself atm).

Would it be a problem for people who want to print their turns (would people still want to do that?)

Do you like it or prefer the old style?

Assuming people like it, it could, and probably should be used for other sections, such as the matches / scores (not in yet) and tables. Each could be tabbed so that you only see the one you're currently interested in. That would get rid of all of the 'Show/Hide' buttons because you'd be doing that automatically when you change to the other team.

This could be used in SS1 maybe, since it's another simple library and adds all sorts of new little features. But that's for another time.

Basically, do you like it, do you think I should use it for the tables and does it work ok on your browser?

Oh and the background colour is just an experiment. I like it, but again it may cause issues for printing turns, if people still intend to print their turns out (I could probably just have a 'printer-friendly' button somewhere).

Yeah ,I like it and think it would work for the matches also, didn't notice a change in the background colour (what was it before   )
Also just found the minimise tables tab (has that been there all along)

The background was just plain white before. I think it looks better with a bit of colour. But it will mean more ink used if people print it out. I could probably just put a button on to turn it off.

Yes, the buttons to turn on and off the tables were there before. They can be removed if I use tabs.

More opinions please as I'd like to get on with it today. Anyone not happy with the tabs?

Great re tabs, and I for one would still want to print off parts of the turns so nay options to reduce colour (albeit temporarily as it is better with colour) would be good too.

Ok, I'm about to put it up with tables in tabs too. I do like it, the sheet is far less cluttered and most of the time you'll be wanting to just look at the first team anyway.

I'll work on a printable version. Would you want to see all the tables / line-ups for a printable version? Or would it be better to have it minimized to just the important stuff?

Tables version up. I've just noticed that because of the slight delay in loading stuff online, you can see everything at first and then it hides it. Don't think it matters.

Matches are now in a tab too. Makes the whole sheet seem quite small, which is good. Had to remove the background colour for now because it looked against the tabs.

Hah, he's lying, he comes up with these ideas while we're on our walks! Walked about 10 miles today, my legs can't take much more!

Good job as the tabs make things easier so you can concentrate on certain bits at a time.

Ah cool, glad it works on mobile. This is the good thing about using these languages and libraries, they're auto-fixed and tested on every device. They're a pain to program in but once you get them working on one machine, they're pretty much solid.

Glad everyone likes the tabs. I like them too, was a shame that I had to lose the background colour because I liked it but it looked bad with tabs. Still, the sheet does look quite a bit tidier now.

Note that this is sending SS2 slightly towards a more 'gamey' look, but at least it still has the SS1 'feel'. I could, theoretically just put all of the sections into another set of tabs (I think it'd handle tabs within tabs), so the whole thing is within pages, much like a standard footy game. But that wouldn't look right anyway and would lose some of the SS1 feel.

Just checked it out on my Iphone, looks good, but which ever platform I use to view it in ,I lose :( :(

Also just noticed for my team MANCHESTER Dragons, our home stadium is the Liverpool County ground!!!!!!!!! How very Dare you

Looking good though, can have a sneaky look at SS2 on hols now, while she's buying more tat that we don't need

Hehe. Thinking of starting on the matches soon, will probably take a couple of months. When they're done, you can lose fairly, instead of losing randomly :p
