Not the 0-0 bore draw that the scoreline suggested, this was a very interesting match. Although both teams were as good as qualified already, Loxley knew that they needed a point to ensure their place in the last 8, and went out looking for a goal to settle their nerves. Although the goal never came, they tried their best and MOA have goalkeeper Peter Baird to thank for a string of good saves. MOA were on target themselves many times but couldn't hit the net either, and in the end, 0-0 was a fair result, and with NSA losing in the other game, both teams were already qualified anyway. |
