Yeah, I thought I'd play my young lads....didnt think they'd have much problem with Wincheap....3-0 up at half time, maybe the seniors came on for the second half

Well done anyway Nat

Okay, latest batch of results have been posted and all matches sent to managers so if you played and haven't received them then let me know.

The last batch will be sent to glynn at midday tomorrow and the draw for the next round will be up in the evening, at which point I will obviously be accepting entries for the second round.

As with this round as I get a reasonable amount in they will be sent in batches to glynn (probably arouns 10 at a time) so you may get your second round results fairly early depending on whether your manager's name is Phil or Tim or not

Can somebody confirm if a home draw gives the home team an advantage over the away, however slight? Also, is the home team meant to be the team on the left of the screen?

BTW I just had a game where one team had 55% of play compared to 46% for the other team!! :?

No advantage as such at this stage as the program can't recognise "home" from "away". There will be a slight advantage to home sides in time when the home and away bit works but at present every team is effectively playing at a neutral venue.

As to the percentages, that happens on rare occasions (as it does in the main ss program)....

Thanks Marc,

Have to say so everyone is aware that hotmail doesn't like the text files (no surprise considering the normal problems with hotmail).

Basically what it does is it adds a line of code to the start of the text file. Anyone running their own competition in the future needs to be aware of this as the line has to be removed or the matches won't be played (just open the text file in wordpad or similar and delete everything before the first team code).

Don't know if this was an error but PSV Ajax should have been playing at home but when the game was played they were on the right of the screen. Didn't matter as they won comfortable but just thought i'd add just in case their was an error with the program. :D

not an error Paul...as explained earlier, the matches have no home and away at present so it doesn't matter where your team is listed as there is no advantage or disadvantage as things stand. It is random luck , but for the time being consdier all games as being played on neutral venues, as to all intents and purposes they are :)

hi rich
don't forget Glynn is having a week's break,
so that would most likley alter you dat forcast,
unless he is still going to do results for you.

I believe that Glynn is still doing these - as they don't require him to stuff any envelopes!

Yep, everything carries on as normal...as has been explained in a number of posts Glynn isn't actually going anywhere.
