Most Cup Final Appearances – 88 known finalists since s7, represented by 39 different teams. 9= Isleworth Utd (8 wins / 1 loss) 6= St Agnes Aces (0 wins / 1 loss) were Glenfield Utd. (2 wins / 3 losses) 5= PSV Caley (0) were Toothill Tigers (2 wins / 3 losses) 5= Partizan (1 wins / 4 losses) 5= Belton Raiders (2 wins / 1 loss) were AFC Belton (1 win) were Southampton FC (1 win) 4= Vale Veterans (2 wins / 2 losses) 4= Poole Town Panthers (2 wins / 2 losses) 4= Torpedo Belper (4 wins / 0 losses) 3= Windermere Wanderers (0) were Sinjuns (1 win) were Beechgrove (2 wins) 3= Kirkdale Rovers (2 wins / 1 loss) 3= Kingseat Utd** (0) were Tottenham Vale (2 wins / 1 loss) 3= FC Roquetas (1 wins / 2 losses) 2= Forest Row (1 win / 1 loss) 2= Tintagel Hill (0) were West Craig Wanderers (1 win / 1 loss) 2= The Rising Sun (0) were Mac Utd. NSA1 (0 win / 2 losses) 2= Cork City AFC NSA43 (1 win / 1 loss) 1= Twenty other teams: FC Donny Toros, Sporting Baku were Hammerton Jetz, Dynamo Saints, Angus Utd. were Belvoir Vale, Athlone, Skye Athletic were Stone Warriors (these 6 as winning finalists) + Shawood CF, Longfield Rangers, Fetteresso Rovers, FC Tayside, Shed City were Riverway Warriors, Wigwell were The Vale, Lakeland Jags, Red Star Athletic were Glenfield Colts, Anfield, Locomotiv Leigh, Cove Utd were Round Hill, Inter Academy, Frog FC and Korova Milk (all 14 as losing finalists) Other Cup facts! Interesting fact #1: Three teams have done the league and cup double in the NSA. In season 42, Partizan was the last team to complete the double. In season 43, they nearly did it again but came runners up in the cup. In season 45, their stable-mates, Cork City AFC nearly did it, but lost the final by a goal. Predictably, the first was Isleworth back in Season 10 and then repeated in Season 40 (the only team to have done the double twice). The forgotten (surprising) double team was Forest Row back in season 15. (Complete records from Season 7 to present). Kirkdale nearly achieved in season 36 but lost the Premiership title on goal difference! Interesting fact #2: From 44 known cup finals (88 finalists) - five have managed to achieve this final and get relegated at the same time. Season 31, FC Roquetas came bottom of the Premiership, ending up as cup runners-up. Previously, St Agnes Aces (were Glenfield Utd.) managed a similar feat in Season 15 (bottom of the Premiership and losing in the final too). It was better for Vale Veterans (s39), Dark Alliance (s47) and FC Roquetas (again) in s48, who all softened their relegation from the Premiership by winning the cup! Interesting fact #3: St Agnes Aces (including when they were Glenfield Utd.) and Partizan have lost in the final four times, more than any other team. To make up for it, St Agnes Aces / Glenfield have won it twice as well. Partizan have won it once. Interesting fact #4: Over the last 44 seasons, 22 have been all Premiership ties, 6 have been without a top team, and 16 have had one Premiership team only; however, 9 of those all-Premiership ties happened in the first 11 seasons on record. There was a long period of seasons when lower division teams seemed to be more likely to reach the final; this may have been due to merging teams from other leagues. In later seasons, Premiership teams have started to dominate again as stronger teams rose to the higher divisions, and culled teams dropped. Interesting fact #5: The cup has been won by a Premiership team 18 of the last 19 seasons. The last non-Premiership team to win was FC Donny Toros in s43. They were in Div. 1. Interesting fact #6: The lowest final league position ever to win the cup is Torpedo Belper in Season 28 - they were promoted in second place from the 3rd Division. Similarly, Vale Veterans got promoted in the same league position, but were only runners-up in Season 30. |

4. NSA League Records UPDATED: August 2025 – end of season 50 (June 2025) Fast risers! Teams that have risen from Division 3 to the Premiership in three consecutive seasons. NSA3 / Olympic Sheffield were Everton Valley / Season 2, 3, 4 (I have promotion records for teams prior to season 7 only) NSA1 / Riverside Athletic were Ash Rangers / Season 11, 12, 13 NSA12 / Athlone were Hawthorn Thistle / Season 13, 14, 15 NSA10 / Dark Alliance were Royle Everton and Glendoig Cavaliers / Season 17, 18, 19 NSA48 / Angus Utd / Season 18, 19, 20 NSA58 / Red Star Athletic were Glenfield Colts / Season 22, 23, 24 NSA20 / Madchester Utd FC were Newcastle Utd / Season 24, 25, 26 NSA21 / Vale Veterans / Season 30, 31, 32 Quick sinkers! As often happens when long-term managers leave, teams plunge through the divisions – sometimes they don’t stop! NSA48 / Angus Utd / Season 24, 25, 26 NSA42 / Sporting Baku were Hammerton Jetz / Season 27, 28, 29 NSA56 / Dyce Utd were Holyhead Utd / Season 27, 28, 29 NSA44 / Staffordshire Rovers / Season 35, 36, 37 NSA47 / Kingseat United were Tottenham Vale / Season 39, 40, 41. Unlucky for some! St Agnes Aces (Glenfield Utd) have never won the Premiership, but have been runners up 8 (eight) times – Season 8, 13, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 (all as Glenfield Utd) and more recently season 43 (as St Agnes Aces). Shawood FC (Meanwood Marauders) have also never won it, but have been runners-up 7 (seven) times. Season 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11 – twice missing out on goal difference! History in a name There are only two teams who haven't changed their name at all since records began in Season 7. Joe's Isleworth Utd. and Craig’s (was Alan’s) Frog FC. They are the team names (without changing it) with the most total points gathered. Teams with an * indicate that they are still with that name and still accruing team points. 1st - Isleworth (NSA8) = 2284* 2nd - Frog FC (NSA46) = 1896 3rd - Mearns Utd (NSA50) = 1678* 4th – The Vale (NSA2) = 1662 (now Wigwell FC) 5th - Locomotiv Leigh (NSA18) = 1403* 6th - Toothill Tigers (NSA33) = 1396 (now PSV Caley) 7th – Dynamo Saints (NSA45) = 1383* 8th – Athlone FC (NSA59) = 1379* 9th – Lakeland Jags (NSA38) = 1365* 10th - Vale Fledglings (NSA57) = 1351 (now Fetteresso Utd) Twenty-nine teams have scored more than a thousand points under their team name (without changing the name). As you'd expect, the list is long for division three. 20 teams have been stuck there for 10 or more seasons (on 22 occasions). There are a surprising number though who have been stuck in the middle tiers where you might expect a good or bad season would see them shift divisions. All records are since s7 (the last full set I have available). We finished s50 in June 2025. An * means that the record is active and will increase, so the absence of * means it is completed. PREMIERSHIP: The longest stretch in the Premiership is held by NSA8 Isleworth. They were there for 35 seasons in a row from s7 to 41 - in fact, they had possibly been there since s1 so value could be 41!)
