Post subject:  Week 31 Fixtures and Chat

London Elite v March Town United
Battle Squadron v Waldridge Park
Zombie Knights v Exeter City
Fivehead Flyers v Miami Celts
Zedd FC v Kilburn United
X Force FC v Mann United
Oakwood Rangers v Luosto Tunturi
Taynton United v Inter Derby

Title - It's a shootout between Inter Derby (3rd last season) and Oakwood Rangers (7th last season). Inter got their nose in the lead last week and head to in form and now safe from relegation Taynton United. Oakwood host 11th placed Luosto Tunturi. Can Oakwood get their name on the title for the 1st time or will Inter's many titles experience see them over the line??

Relegation - Mann United finished 8th last season, but will be in Div One next season which ends their 3 season stay in the Prem. Zedd FC have been in freefall recently and can't manage a full 11 on the pitch and they are also relegated. Final spot is a shoot out between Kilburn United who need a win, a good few goals and a Battle Squardon defeat to stay up. They do play Zedd so for me there is a glimmer of hope for the win and goals their end at least. Battle Squadron have a tough game against a Waldridge Park side who will finish 4th this season, a point would be enough to ensure Squadron stay up for a 3rd season in the Prem.

AP Leamington v Southampton Vikings
Carnbroe Thistle v Watford Hornets
Tottenham Crew v Wolverines
Leicester Fosse v Kings Heath Harriers
Stainsacre FC v Thunder Dragons
Askham Bryan Athletic v Super Spurs
Dream Vipers v Pendle Forest
Celyn Coyotes v Robin Hoods Bay

Promotion - Watford Hornets are back in the Prem after a 3 season absence they are joined by Tottenham Crew who dropped out the Prem 5 seasons ago and have actually finished 4th in Div One the last 2 seasons so very much deserved. Also bouncing straight back up to the Prem is Super Spurs. The order is to be confirmed, but imagine the managers are just happy to promote.

Relegation - Leicester Fosse finished 13th last season, but are relegated this year. Celyn Coyotes end the season better than how they started with a manager and some squad improvements, they sadly have the dubious honour of a second straight relegation, but sure will bounce back. Final place is tbc between Stainsacre FC and Thunder Dragons. Stainsacre were promoted from Div 2 just 2 seasons back and would love to stay as I'm sure Thunder would love a 5th season in Div 1. As the fixture gods would have it, both sides meet on the last day with Stainsacre having home advantage. Stainsacre need the win while a draw is good enough for Dragons.

Dynamo Sports Club v Arun Valley FC
Scotstoun Rovers v Hill Foot FC
Kings Park v Sheffield FC
Banks O'Dee v Mearns Athletic
Ferrydean Thistle v RM City
Bucknall FC v Inter Parkside
Dunnottar United v Racing United
Woodvale v Santos United

Promotion - Hill Foot FC have dominated the Division and deservedly promote as Champions, they return the Div 1 after relegation 2 seasons ago. Santos United will join them as they finish runners up. A truly great effort after being Div 3 Champions last season...can they make the final step up next season???? Ferrydean Thistle also are up at the second attempt as they were Div 3 Champions the season before Santos were.

Relegation - Nothing decided here yet as 4 teams battle to be the one to avoid the drop. Bucknell FC are a point above the rest with Banks O'Dee a point behind them and Dunnottar United another point back. It does look mission impossible for current bottom side Mearns Athletic though as need to win, socre goals and hope the other three lose. They do play Banks O' Dee so it does improve their odds slightly if they can do their part of the task.

Oakley United v Inter Wyberton
Whitby Town v PSV Ajax
Oakwood Albion v FC Dynamo
Cove Athletic v Alba United
ATL United v Forest Park
Mackie FC v Broomhill FC
Westhill FC v Bervie United
Ambergate Assassins v PSV Dynamo

Promotion - ATL United (11th last season) and Forest Park (8th last season) are both promoted and actually meet to decide who the Champions will be, either way it will be the place to be for a party afterwards!! Cove Athletic (4th last season), Oakley United (5th last season) and Bervie United (14th in Div 2 under Ferry United name last season) fight for the last spot with 2pts spliting them. None of them meet so fans will be glued to phones and radios for updates.

T64 - No surprise as Ambergate Assassins take the wooden spoon.

Good luck to all sides for the final game of Season 35.

Great read carl , im not shure if i can win the league but im not too fussed either way we travel too Thistle always a tough match .

Both my sides are safely in the Prem for next season so both can relax and enjoy the final day 8) 8)

MTU have underperformed for me this season and its been a weak title defence so looking for improvement next season. Final game is away to London Elite so a few squad players are likely a run out to show me what they can offer. We could still get a 5th placed finish.

Taynton have hit form at the right time and hauled ourselves safe :D . We host Inter Derby so could have an impact on the title. Really wanted to get minutes in a few players, but would be unfair on Oakwood so I'll make a late decision on it.

Good luck to all sides this week.

Only game I'm bothered about this week is the Stainsacre game against Thunder Dragons. We have to win or are relegated.

Yep

Inter go down to a late goal, nothing between the sides but you’re not going to win the title if you lose seven games, we gave Oakwood a good scrap till the end, congrats to Russ on his first title
Kilburn win a game but that didn’t matter either as we end up two points from safety & another stint in Div 1 for us
Congrats to everyone else who achieved their aims & Paul on Cup win

All in all not a great week

Stainsacre are relegated, well done to Thorby, Askham Bryan won and Robin Hoods Bay drew.

Poor end to the season with two defeats including todays 2-1 loss at Bucknell F.C,deserved nothing and thats what we got.
Overall not a bad season finishing 5th but never troubled the top 3 and don't expect that to change with retirements meaning we may need a loan or two again,so thanks to Razor on the two loans and hard luck bud on the prem title.
Well done to those that won things or promoted.

MTU continue their end of season slump and disappoint in our 1st title defence. Few new signings and maybe we can improve next season.
Taynton make 3 or 4 changes and still manage to net a late win against Inter Derby. Brilliant end to the season with 12 points from 15 which took us to safety and a respectable finished.

Congrats to Russ on his first WS title and also Paul on his SLFA Cup victory. Also to everyone who achieved or surpassed their aims.

Been a good season in the WS overall and look forward to more next season.

Congrats on your first title Russ. 2 seasons with 2 new names on there, hope you don't collapse to 8th like we did this year
