Week 30

Swinfen Hall v Zedd FC
London Elite v Waldridge Park
Celyn Coyotes v X Force FC
Tottenham Crew v Oakwood Rangers
FC Chivas v Glasgow 2014
Bromsgrove Rovers v Super Spurs
Miami Celts v Kilburn United
Fivehead Flyers v Inter Derby

London Elite made the biggest stride last week as they won while Inter Derby and Fivehead Flyers both lost, the win moved them back to 2nd and just 2pts split the 3 title contenders although Fivehead have a better GD. Fivehead and Inter Derby is the game of the day by a mile while London Elite look to take advantage again as they host Waldridge Park. A win for Fivehead will knock Inter out the title race at this stage so they can't afford to lose. I predict all three sides to draw and take it to the final week!
At the bottom Swinfen Hall are all but confirmed as relegated after defeat and their poorer GD means it will be a near impossible task now, while Bromsgrove battle on another week after beating Glasgow 2014 but still sit 4pts from safety. FC Chivas are also confirmed as gone this week.

Game of the Day Fivehead Flyers vs Inter Derby - no reason needed!

Title - One from Fivehead Flyers, Inter Derby, London Elite, Oakwood Rangers or X Force
Relegation - FC CHIVAS and 2 from Bromsgrove Rovers, Swinfen Hall, Tottenham Crew or Glasgow 2014

Bruggen Village v Hornets
Luosto Tunturi v Battle Squadron
Zombie United v Exeter City
Scousers v Carnbroe Thistle
Leicester Fosse v Cair Paravel
Mann United v Taynton United
FC Storm Chasers v March Town United
Sa Domu Cheta v Wolverines

The promotion picture is resolved in Div One now as the final side is confirmed in the shape of March Town United after victory against Sa Domu Cheta. Exeter should be crowned champions next week as they won to move 5 ahead of 2nd placed Bruggen who drew last week. At the foot of the table Battle Squadron battle on as they get a solid point against Bruggen to keep their hopes alive though defeats for Sa Domu and Leicester Fosse has resulted in relegation for them both.

Game of the Day is Luosto Tunturi vs Battle Squadron. Luosto fighting for a 4th place finish and Battle Squadron for their Div One status.

Promoted - EXETER CITY, BRUGGEN VILLAGE and MARCH TOWN UNITED
Relegated - LEICESTER FOSSE, SA DOMU CHETA and 1 from Battle Squadron, Wolverines and Scousers.

White Zombies v Thunder Spheres AFC
Ropery Alexandra v Inter Wyberton
Oaken Raiders v PSV Ajax
Robin Hood's Bay v Whitnage AFC
Santos United v Mearns Athletic
Dream Vipers v AP Leamington
Inter Parkside v Stainsacre FC
Askham Bryan Athletic v Hill Foot FC

Div Two is the hardest to call as any of the top 5 can still promote. Leaders are now Santos Utd after their win last week takes them 2pts ahead of Robins Hoods Bay who were defeated last week. RHB are second by a single point to 3rd placed Mearns Athletic and 4th placed White Zombies who both got 3pts last week. Dream Vipers who led for so long have hit self destruct and can't seem to buy a win at the moment but are still in there. At the wrong end of town now and relegated Whitnage have been joined by Inter Parkside now and Hill Foot could finalise the casualties of Div 2 this week as they need to beat Askham Bryan while needed PSV Ajax to beat Oaken Raiders.

Promoted - Robins Hoods Bay, Santos Utd, Dream Vipers, Mearns Athletic, White Zombies, and Ropery Alexandra.
Relegated - WHITNAGE AFC, INTER PARKSIDE and 1 from Hill Foot FC, Stainsacre FC and Oaken Raiders.

Crucial Party v Athletic Aces
Bishops Blazers FC v Kings Park
FC Dynamo v Padiham Town FC
La Chaume v Hartford United
Sky Athletic v Woodvale
Hotspur Mariners v Forest Park
Alba United v Ambergate Assassins
Cartonians v AC Arsenal

Crucial Party jump on the draw between FC Dynamo and Hartford United to move back to the top where they have spent so long this season. The top 2 are already promoted so the battle is for the top spot. Carotonions hold 3rd spot as things stand over Bishops Blazers and then Alba United. No change at the bottom as both sides in the scum for last place both lost.

Game of the day - La Chaume vs Hartford United - both sides have a slim promotion chance and both need to win this week while hoping for a favour or 2 from others.

Promoted - CRUCIAL PARTY, FC DYNAMO and 1 from Carotonions, Bishop Blazers, Alba United, La Chaume and Hartford United

SLFA Cup Semi Final Review.

Two great games for the neutrals. The live game as expected saw March Town United host Inter Derby. A record full house crowd of 33k saw MTU take the lead through Nick Del Santo in only the 3rd minute which they held until stoppage time when substitute Angel Ansaldi lobbed in from 20yards to send game to extra time. MTU could of been forgiven for folding after that body blow but kept plugging on until Nick De Santo scored the winner 2mins from time to send MTU into the cup final for the first time.
There was talk of another upset as Zedd FC hosted Thunder Spheres from Div 2 in the other semi final. However there was not to be one as Zedd remained professional and scored a goal in each half as Rivvaldi netted this 13th of the season after 23mins and Jeremy Monsall after 59 ended any hopes that Thunder had. Thunder had chances but were unable to find a way through and it finished 2-0 to the Prem side.
T64 - Ambergate Assassins or AC Arsenal

Stainsacre need a point away to Inter Parkside which will maintain our Division 2 status.

Askham Bryan Athletic are home to Hill Foot FC and we don't have anything to play for however if we gain at least a point it would keep Stainsacre up however well they do.

Robin Hoods Bay are home to Whitnage AFC and we must win to maintain our promotion hopes.

March Town need to come back to earth as this week after sealing our first cup final AND promotion to the Prem last week.

The game this week will likely be used to play a couple of squad players before next weeks cup final. Won't be too many changes though as don't wanna disrupt the squad too much.

Taynton can still finish 4th so will be keen for a good finish with 2 away games to come. First up is Mann United so hopefully we can get a win and take the race into the last game.

Robin Hoods Bay and Stainsacre win. Askham Bryan lost and I think their season ended three weeks ago. Robin Hoods Bay need a point next week for promotion.

Congrats to Simeon on Prem title, thought we had a chance after being top for so long, but the injury cost us dearly, not won a game since then  pity he’s out for the start of next season too! Still been a good season, apart from the end of it!! Kilburn are finishing the season well, with three straight wins, long may it continue & another Yth league title too :D

What a shocker of a day for my 2!!

March Town United were utterly pathetic, being demolished on possession and not managing a single shot on target! I made 3 changes and safe to say they did nothing to show me they should be included in SLFA Final squad (in fact none of the 13 did). Woeful and doesn't give me much confidence for next week but surely they won't perform this badly again, in what was our heaviest defeat of the season.

Taynton won't be getting 4th after this week's game. Cleary we couldn't break down their stupid 3-6-1 formation and although we edged the game we just weren't good enough. Made even worse as Mann had no named subd so even fresh legs couldn't give us any help.

Woeful week and need better next week. albeit only one game really matters.

Terrible week this week , Bruggen , won against hornets and were still doing the terrible stats away .

Cant even talk about Battle Squadron , 7-1 Hammering by Loisto Tun.

Thunder , I tried a different approach ,didn't work so wont be going down that rout again .

Even Crucial only got a point ,that means win win win next week against Bishops Blazers ...or rely on Dynamo to draw or loose again .

Alex's promotion hopes ended this week despite a win. We have had a good season if only it wasn't for the 8 game winless run I could have been opening the champers
