Need to do better is the message this week.

We were the better side last week but failing to score cost us anything.

Double header this week as we have a tough away game at Warrington Wolfs. Always a hard one and fingers crossed we can stick the ball in the net this week.

We also have cup action in the Quarter Finals. An away tie at Div Two Romford Dogs. They look decent on paper although sure will be disappointed with their league standing. They will certainly be up for the game so we must be also.

Defeat again in the league and disappointing overall. As things stand we have to beat Atletico Mango next week otherwise I feel the league title will be gone for us.

No wins in 4 games is our worst run this season and needs to be sorted.

Positive was a good cup performance and although we had the best of it Romford battled hard and it ended as a narrow win. Ideally a home tie against AFC Mychett in semi final please

1-0 loss for Kildare at Ajax, very tight game but a late goal settles the game.
Parkside won 3-0 at Rapid G,with retirements and rubbish youth players promoting we will be down to 9 outfield players and 2 keepers next season..bit skint aswell :)

Sounds like Fishburn Park in the Opal for me. Knew it was a challenge when I took them on but four seasons later I've only taken them from t64 to t62.

Does sound about the same mate, started with a very poor side and to be honest they are still poor, keep plugging away i guess.

Another half decent week so not going to complain .

City suffer back to back defeats as promotion chances take a dive ?

City was on the road this week to fellow promotion hopefuls Berwick Hills , City make one change as Nathan De Bruyne comes to make his first start from the bench in place of Andre Zeklos.

Kick off and it was a very tight affair as Berwick look to make home advantage count when Patrick Yorke slid in brilliantly to win the ball from the advancing Gabriel Torres to set Berwick on the break for an attack, Patrick Yorke plays a short pass into the feet of James Maloney with his back to goal he does brilliantly to turn Phillippe Sandler and shoot bringing a great save from Moraes Ederson as Berwick send the first warning that they are here to win and get the promotion race back on ! Berwick Hills Lucas Meier picks up a sloppy pass from Madchester City's Gerard Gundoganand instantly feeds the ball down the wing to Andrei Ivan who evades the slide challenge from Erik Walker and manages to square the ball to Markus Svensson who forced the ball into the net from close range after some great passing football to give Berwick Hills the lead ! Soon after the re-start City had a chance of their own as Vincent Vieira was allowed to bomb forward with the Berwick Hills defence backing off he let fly from 25 yards out but his effort was to high and it sails over the bar ! Berwick was able to keep City quiet for the first half and took a narrow lead at half time !
With now changes in the half time break the game was back underway with Berwick Hills holding midfielder Patrick Yorke controlling the midfield battle he was cutting and breaking up all of Madchester City's play ! with little action happening either end Berwick made the first change when Donald Willington was brought on for James Maloney quickly followed by City when Shane Zaha was brought on for a quiet Bernabe de Silva not long after City rolled the dice again with Nathan De Bruyne coming on for Gabriel Torres , this seemed to play right into Berwicks hands when another sloppy ball this time from Riyad Sterling was picked up by Patrick Yorke with out wasting the opportunity he played a quick ball into the path of Phil Stamp who evaded the challenge from Danny Ake to play a brilliant weighted ball into Donald Willington to skip past on rushing keeper Moraes Ederson and prod the ball into the empty net following a good run from his own half. Berwick looked solid in midfield and City just couldn't get the flowing football going so it was by surprise when Berwick made their final change and Teddy Morgan was brought on for Patrick Yorke who had given a man of the match performance ! This change in Berwick's midfield shape seemed to unsettle them when Nathan De Bruyne was able to steal the ball from Lucas Meier and play a brilliant ball down the win for Riyad Sterling to chase , Riyad Sterling was able to cut back inside wrong footing Yeet Siker to play a square ball into the path of Vincent Vieira who cracked the ball past the keeper from ten yards following a nice move down the right to give City some hope of a fight back ! But it was to little to late as soon after the re-start the ref blew for full time !

It was close match but Berwick had the better chances and found City unable to break the wall of holding midfielder Patrick Yorke ! Craig will be happy to end Berwicks poor run of form against fellow promotion hopefuls the defeat leaves City clinging onto third with another huge game next week !

Hard earned point for Wba in fierce encounter !

With Wba on a decent run this last month, they named an un-changed side against Mega Tsunamis.

Kick off and it was Mega Tsunamis that started the match on the front foot but it was a fierce battle between the two sides which soon showed when Mega Tsunamis Scott Golbourne was booked in the 9th minute for a bad challenge on Silvio Anocic to set the tone of the game to follow. With another crunching challenge in midfield from Mega Tsunamis Keith Fellowes on Dwight McNeil to break up the Wba attack. Mega Tsunamis Daryl Firbank picked up the ball deep inside Wba's half and fed a neat ball through the defence to find Marco Kumar who's first time shot was well saved by Julian Speroni it was all Mega Tsunamis who aggressive approach had knocked Wba out of stride ? With another neat passing build up between Mega Tsunamis Richard Moreland and Piers Hyde this time the shot was inces wide ! The Wba manager was getting very vocal on the touchline trying to get his team to take the fight to Mega Tsunamis and it worked when Wba's Rhys Williams booked for taking a swing at Richard Moreland in the 34th minute ! Finally Wba had a chance to break and create a chance for themselves Dwight McNeil feeding the ball out wide to Jamie Rodriguez who was to quick for Charlie Thomas ! he was able to swing a cross over to the far post which was met by the head of Wba's Kyle Edwards but found his chance tame and not really any trouble for Mega Tsunamis goal keeper Colin Ainslie, with not much more action in the first half both teams went in at halftime level and bruised.
With both sides taking the field after the break with no changes reported ! It was Julian Speroni in the Wba goal that was the busiest of the two keepers , a lovely floated cross to the near post by Paulo Silva was met by a stinging volley from Marco Kumar to bring another fine save from Julian Speroni, Wba just couldn't get out of first gear and the ball down to play football with Mega Tsunamis aggressive approach ! Soon it was time for the very vocal Wba manager to try and change how the game was playing out with his first call to the bench when Isaac Green was brought on for Nick Clayton-Phillips followed quickly by Tymo Reus coming on for Kyle Edwards to try and give Wba some creativity upfront ! The two changes seemed to do little for them as finally the ref could take no more when the manager of West Brinsley Albion had to be warned by the referee in the 81st minute for shouting at his players from the touchline as his temper boiled over to the poor display he was seeing !! With little more action the final whistle went.

Wba was poor today and Mega Tsunamis had a game plan to really get in the faces of the Wba players and it worked ! Wba was lucky to get anything from the game but showed good organization in the defence to keep the clean sheet. I will be looking for major improvement next week !!

Forest come away with good win to keep the pressure on !

Forest found themselves on the road and make just the one change as the returning Innocent Emeghara takes his place on the bench in place of Alex Mighten.

Kick off and it was Forest who looked the most creative and looking to get off to a great start when Perrins Van Hooijdonk was able to flick on a long punt up field from Chioma Ajunwa that allowed Bryan Roy to race through on goal but Elton Vale's keeper Junior Finsaison was able to read the danger and quickly race off his line to smoother the ball ! It wasn't long again when Forest broke through the defence this time a brilliant pass from Larry Arter was able to find Perrins Van Hooijdonk his short lay off into the path of Jay Lolley who hit a first time shot pulling a fine save from Junior Finsaison ! in the early parts it was all Forest with the odd counter attack from Elton Vale ! Diogo Carvalho picked up the ball deep inside his own half with a quick pass out to the right he was able to find Ethan Dekel-Daks who wiggled his way past two challenges to play a perfect ball into the advanced Jayden Cash who quickly played a low cross into Perrins Van Hooijdonk to tap an un-missable shot past the keeper from close range after a forceful attack down the right to open the scoring and settle the Forest nerves ! Elton Vale had one chance to draw level but Joey Sisley but the ball wide from 18 yards after some great footwork to get himself in position ! With little more action Forest went in at the break with a deserved narrow lead !
With both sides taking the field for the second half it looks like no changes to be made and the game is under way and it's Forest again creating the better chances and finding Elton Vale's Junior Finsaison in fine form ! Elton Vale carved out chances themselves but wasted them with Didier Sixteen putting the ball wide and Elton Young getting a brilliant reflex save from Joe Pantilimon ! It was still Forest in control but they needed the second goal to really settle the nerves and put the game to bed ! With the game looking locked at one nil Forest made the first change when Ryan Yates was brought on for Larry Arter and five minutes later Jay Lolley made way for the returning Innocent Emeghara. It was Innocent Emeghara who made an instant impact when he beat a poorly executed offside trap to be free of the Elton Vale defence making his way to the 6 yard box he was able to pull the ball back which was hit first time by Ethan Dekel-Daks to put Forest C.F.C further ahead as he prodded an easy shot over the line from close range following a dreadful mix up in the Elton Vale defence to put the points in the bag and kill any Elton Vale comeback to see Forest safe till the final whistle.

It was a close match but Forest created plenty and found themselves clinical today and Elton Vale wasteful ! The win keeps alive the promotion race but will need the form to continue if they are going to keep pace with the top 3 ? Huge game next week and it couldn't have come at a better time as Forest look to be finding some consistency ?

Well sorry it's a day late again I just don't seem to find the time on a Thursday at minute !

Have a good weekend all !! :D

2nd defeat in 3 for Fintry. Finding it hard to turn possession/shots on into goals at the moment. An awful rut to get stuck in.
