Last week was a great week in MOA with wins in league, cup and MOA Open Cup.

This week we have a tough game against Cavaliers F.C. We have home advantage but face a very decent opponent, who have surprised me being where they are currently (leading second half of Prem table it seems). They have picked up two big wins in recent weeks with plenty of goals and will be well up for the game so we have to be at our best.

Sadly pegged back to earn just a point this week, disappointing against unmanaged side even with the players they have.

Good first leg score in MOA open cup though, watch us lose 3-0 in second leg

An 8th straight win and 4th clean sheet on the trot for Fintry.

We were made to work for the victory this week but our sturdy defence stood steady against Old Aberdonians 5 strikers.

Next week is a huge match for us!

Atletico throw away a 3-1 lead in the last 6 minutes to draw 3-3!! :| Nowhere near good enough if this lot have title aspirations.

Not a bad 0-0 draw for Kildare at home to Forest Pk,meanwhile Parkside can only play one formation at the moment due to injuries and incompetent managament and lost 1-0 :)

Well a decent week , so a happy manager !

City overcome tricky game to keep foot on pedal for promotion !

City was home to the tricky Selly All Stars and I was forced into making two changes from last weeks win against Methley Ravens with Danny Ake coming in for Phillippe Sandler in the City defence and Gabriel Torres who came into the City midfield along side Gerard Gundogan and Vincent Vieira, as the record breaking Enes De Bruyne today left the club after playing 283 games setting a club record and managing to score 61 first team goals to set another club record as City lined up with a new look midfield ! We wish Enes De Bruyne all the best for his future at Tiptree and look forward to new defender Dorjan Balint joining at the start of the new season !

With the game kicking off it was a cagey affair with neither side taking control of the game and both defences looking tight as chances was found to be few and far between , with Tyson Harwood-Bellis managing to step out of the City defence and intercept a sloppy pass from Selly's Chris Smith he was able to get the ball moving with a pass to Vincent Vieira who in turn played a quick one , two with Gabriel Torres to finally get City to trouble the Selly back line but the shot from Bernabe de Silva was easily dealt with by Selly's Mujeed Ur Rahman, City's top scorer Bernabe de Silva was having a difficult time as he was being marked out the game with Robin Smith tasked to keep him quiet and doing a great job ! The first half passed quickly and the game was boring with both fans quiet at half time !
With no changes at half time for either side the game started pretty much as the first finished tight and little in the way of chances being created for either side ! But eventually the break through was found and it was Madchester City to get their noses in front ! With Robin Smith keeping hold of Bernabe de Silva on the edge of the area for his only fault of the game in the 60th minute the ref had no choice but to award the free kick with the wall in place and Gerard Gundogan and Danny Ake stood over the ball you could sense the game needed some magic to spark some life and it got just that when Danny Ake swerved a spectacular shot over the wall and over the line directly from the free-kick ten yards outside the area to finally wake the City faithful !! Finally behind in the game Selly made their first change when Cardigan Connor was brought on for Mark Nicholas to try and find the creativity that was lacking from the Selly midfield ! five minutes later City made their changes when the young Andre Zeklos was brought on for Gerard Gundogan who is still trying to find his fitness after a long layoff and Shane Zaha was brought on for the ineffective Bernabe de Silva. With not much else in the way of action other than the ref booking Fernando de Jesus in the 73rd minute for kicking the ball away on an opponents free-kick. City managed to hold firm to the final whistle with Selly All Stars looking abit of the pace today to pick up the 3 points and keep them firmly in the promotion race !

It was a close game between the sides but I feel City just did enough to snatch the win ! Selly played well but lacked the creative spark to really trouble City and it needed a piece of magic to take the win ! As I've said before if Selly can avoid the drop this season they will be a tough team to play next season and will maybe be pushing for promotion themselves ? they have the team to do it ! City with a huge game next week I will be looking for a huge improvement !!

Wba win but still play poor !! Wba still look lost and have no style or identity , hard work needed to sort this team out !

Wba was forced into two changes with Tymo Reus coming in for Kyle Edwards and Harold Bolland making his first appearance on the bench.

Kick off and it's Dinamo Athletic who look the better side in the early exchanges and look the most likely to score but Silvio Anocic puts in a well timed tackle on Chris Kee and was able to launch a quick counter attack getting the ball quickly to Nick Clayton-Phillips who then feeds a great ball into the feet of Zakky Mirralas who manages to hold the ball up and feed in a simple pass to Jamie Rodriguez in the 6th minute to poke the ball past the keeper from close range after a forceful attack down the centre to give Wba an early lead against the run of play. Again Dinamo Athletic had chances to maybe equalise but found the Wba keeper Julian Speroni in good form and the Wba defence looking solid and organised and Wba manage to go in at half time with a narrow lead.
Second half Dinamo Athletic looked good going forward but you could see the frustration building when Winston Woolley was booked for shouting at the ref in the 49th minute ! With Rhys Williams getting hold of the ball and placing it on the ground he took a quick free kick which caught Dinamo Athletic napping and Jamie Rodriguez was able to play a brilliant one , two with Tymo Reus who managed to play the ball into the path of Dwight McNeil who put West Brinsley Albion further ahead as he skipped past the keeper and toe poked the ball into the empty net following a nice break from his own half for his first goal for the club. This knocked the stuffing out of Dinamo Athletic and give Wba the breathing space they didn't really deserve ? In the 65th minute Wba made the first change with Isaac Green coming on for the hard working Dwight McNeil to add abit of energy into the tiring Wba midfield which was followed 1 minute later by Dinamo Athletic when Matty Bielby was brought on for Chris Kee to try and spark some sort of comeback ! With the game running down Dinamo Athletic made their second change when Cris Yang came on for Roman Tuarz and finally Wba made the change when Tymo Reus made way for the young Harold Bolland to get some much needed first team action.

Wba held firm and managed to keep a clean sheet and take the three points home ! The performance wasn't the best from Wba but somehow they managed to find the goals to nick the win a few positives can be taken away from the defensive side of the team as they looked organised and solid throughout the game but alot of hard work is still to be done on the training field to get this team playing the way I expect them to be playing for the personnel they have ! One or two more could be leaving as we look to bring maybe one or two new faces in ?

Forest can't make home advantage count in huge promotion game !

Forest with a huge home game make two changes from the side that drew with Selly last week with Larry Arter coming in for Ryan Yates who drops to the bench and Perrins Van Hooijdonk comes in for Innocent Emeghara who takes up his position on the bench,

Kickoff , Forest and Tyldesley Panthers find themselves even all over the field with neither side dominating the other and both finding it hard to find away through each others defence to really register a decent shot on target with the one or two chances either going wide or safely dealt with by the keepers ! The game was in truth boring to watch and as the first half ticked away without much for the fans to get up and excited about ! You could sense that this game was going to end in a draw or would need one moment of brilliance to take the points home and the first half display's from both sides really left question marks hanging over who it could be !
With no changes at half time from either side it pretty much started as the first finished with neither side taking control with the odd chance going begging and corners being dealt with ease but the defender or keepers ! With the second half slowly ticking away Matthew Houlden picked up the ball on the half way line he quickly got the ball out wide to Auli Enotrass who found himself under pressure from Diogo Carvalho , Auli Enotrass did well to avoid the challenge and managed to play the ball down the wing to the overlapping Thorgen Riessen with the attack looking like many of the others before it amounting to nothing ! Thorgen Riessen was able to make the by line to send over a cross that narrowly avoided Jayden Cash out reached leg , the cross caused panic in the box and ikolai Gregorev gave Tyldesley Panthers the lead as he drove the ball over the line with a spectacular volley from eighteen yards following a desperate scramble inside the box ! and there it was that moment of brilliance had arrived in the 69th minute to send the sleepy Tyldesley Panthers fans into hysteria !!! It was a blow to Forest who had looked comfortable until that moment ! Finding themselves behined Forest had to look to the bench to try and salvage something from the game and first up was Ryan Yates on for the below par Ethan Dekel-Daks and 5 minutes later Jay Lolley was hooked for Innocent Emeghara but it was to little to late for Forest as Tyldesley manage to shut up shop and see out the game to steal the 3 points and give them the boost in the promotion race !!

It was a harsh defeat for Forest as the game was split down the middle ! not to take anything away from Tyldesley it needed a moment of brilliance and today they had the players to deliver it ! Forest remain 5th but the defeat leaves them 6 points behind the top 3 places this result gave the much needed lift to Tyldesley in the promotion race ! I'm hoping this result don't come back to bite us ? But Forest need to get back to winning ways next week to try and claw their way back into the fight !!

Vaga Valiants take the advantage in the first leg of the Moa Open Cup final and leave Wba needing a miracle at home next week ! so lets hope you're right Carl :P

Have a good weekend everyone :D
