Can Hillside end my first season in charge with promotion?? We need a win from last three games and would love to wrap it up this week as we travel to Cheadlenders. In reality we should, but can't ever be 100%. We have picked up 30 from last 36pts in what has been an incredible second half of season.


Vaga can probably only finish as high as 6th now, which with the way we have been would be a decent result (albeit no where near the one I pushed for). To be fair a great second half of season has saved us, we have 26 from 36pts. We also hit the road to take on Spread Devils.

The top of the table MOA clash sees Atletico Mango dig deep and get a 1-0 win at 2nd placed Melwood.

This gives us back to back MOA league titles for the first time Very pleased with the efforts of the players in churning out results again this season!!

Vaga play out a 0-0 draw and fair play to Spread Devils as seems they got tactics spot on. Both sides had chances, but wasn't to be.

Main result for me was the YTH one and again Devils frustrate us and we end up 0-0, a result that drops us to 2nd in the table and its' now out of our hands.


Onto better news.... Hillside Athletic are promoted in my first season in a crowd of just over 2000 (only 97 were home fans!!) they see us clinch it. We will have a proper knees up next week when we host Newtonhill who are also promoted.

Parkside R have played pretty well over the last 8 games and picked up a 1-0 win at home to Methley R,still expect to go down but have an outside chance of pulling off an escape.
Kildare R ensured promotion to div one with a 1-1 at Parkvale,going to need a loan or two to have any chance of staying in the division next season.

A nice win in the 1st leg of the MOA Final to raise the spirits a bit.

I've now had Melwood for what will be 15 full seasons, having taken them on as a relegated Queen of Spades as they dropped to Division 2. We had a few 6th places in a row before our double titles. Last year we were cursed and dropped to 7th (not trying to jinx you Marc).

This season had promise, but fizzled out linked to an injury. I'm hoping this year will be our highest scoring season - on 66 but trying to beat 70. Ian Rush is on 137 goals and Mick Owen 120. Both early 30's so hopefully plenty more to come from them!

After last weeks decent results back to the norm and another pap week for my lot

City have just stopped playing and suffer a narrow defeat away at Mega Tsunamis , both sides hit the woodwork so could have been more goals , plenty of chances both sides so City could be thankful it wasn't a goal fest ?

Wbu suffer a narrow defeat away at Trafford Rhino's and Wbu lacked any creativity , this defeat has pulled them back into trouble after a turn of results , going to be a tough couple of weeks ahead.

Forest get a back to back win for what's seemed like a season ? The win at home to Lochar Thistle keeps the faint prem survival hopes alive but as Forest find abit of form so to the others that are trying to keep their heads above water. Two cup finals to play to save our bacon !!

Cheers gents on the first leg of the final , advantage to Dundee but you can't bet against Afc Warkworth turning around the second leg still all to play for ! Good luck gents.
