Tricky home tie against 3rd placed Wellington to come. Will make a change or two but hopefully we can match Tap End's result to remain top.

Congrats to Simeon on the double, incredibly harsh on Marc who looked good for the title for most of the season, commiserations Marc.

Commiserations also to Baz on losing out on the title on GD and to Dave L on losing the Cup Final.

All the top 3 deserve to be Champions as to get to the high 60's in points and not finish top is far from common.

Well done to Steve and Carl on promoting from their divisions, and indeed to all promoted clubs, and sympathies to those who have relegated.

Sickening is a the word! Longfield fluff their lines in the final chapter and are held 0-0 at home by Super Tottenham. Well done to Simone on his unexpected double!

Newport get an unexpected point at home in a 0-0 draw with Dortmund but its Division One for them next season. My tenure with Den Bosch ends on a positive note as they confirmed Prem status with a 1-0 win over Yorkshire.

Skelmersdale are held 2-2 by Stoneywood but are promoted in my final game with them.

Congratulations to everybody who achieved their objectives of promotions, titles... Carl, Steve etc enjoy the moment!

If anybody is interested in taking over either Den Bosch or Skelmersdale, I can forward their turns. They both have decent tight young(ish) squads with room to grow (subject to culling/edits of course)

Sliema promoted but on a sour note decide to only play for 85mins in final game and concede two late goals to drop to 2nd (certainly not as big an issue as in the Prem as that was hard on Marc) though still a little disappointed.

Generally happy with squad but need a couple of small tweaks so any loans would be very welcome

Well done to all managers who got their aims, and good luck next season to those who missed out.

Lost the title on goal difference but can’t have no complaints as Racing did the double over us so thoroughly deserved, and a cup win to seal the double.

A great title race. Congratulations to everybody else who achieved promotions.

Cheers folks....that was a nice unexpected turn of events.

A month ago I thought there was absolutely no chance of us winning the league. Even as I was doing the turn for the week I thought it was highly unlikely..

When I saw the results I thought we had lost by a point, or goal difference and was happy with the cup, so I was a happy chappie when I saw the league.

I do feel a wee bit for Marky Marc....but only a wee bit

All in all....not a bad week.

Overall a disappointing season for Astral - although the points tally was one better than last year, we were well off the pace - dropped too many points in games we should have won. Hopefully the youth reinforcements will give us a boost for next season..
