| Post subject: | Holiday Post |
As technically notification of going on holiday is in reference to having SS done, not replying to messages etc this thread will stay up in here so managers can watch this topic and be notified instantly when anyone is planning a trip away. Please note if you are going away for a long weekend/few days do NOT post here as that short a break will not have any real effect on your involvement in SS and does not need notifying to everyone (as we have managers on here who can take many days to reply to private messages anyway). Only post when you are going away when there are a few days at most before your holiday. No one needs multiple weeks notice. In reality, 99% of the time it will no doubt be Carl but you never know, may be others Extra note - Whilst it is great that managers want to wish a manager a great time on their holiday (not an intended part of this thread but it is lovely to see) can everyone please keep in mind the forum rules re no politics (in it's purest sense, namely anything about real life) as more and more posts are breaking this rule and requiring editing to avoid potentially having managers arguing over all sorts of stuff that used to happen before Glynn brought in the rule to stop the arguments and hostility (as the forum is meant to be a friendly place for anyone, be they aged 8 or 80). So for example, no mentioning brand names of drinks, no commenting on how good or bad a place is in your opinion, why you are going there (if for example it is sports related), and no mentioning personal opinions about people within the visited area. Also no mention of holiday periods in terms of "Have a happy x" - if you want to wish people a "Happy x" please put up a separate post in the general chat area. Have a great time is great, really nice to see and just keeps the place friendly, saying have a few (brand name of alcohol), I didn't like that country, the people there are not friendly etc are all strictly not allowed. |
