There are a number of teams available at the moment, with a wide range of pedigree and heritage. It is WEEK 30 this week so you could take a team on now and be semi-prepared for a new season!

If anyone wants any details of these teams, let me know and I'll delve into the archives. The vacant list in the NSA is reasonably up-to-date, but I will add a little more info here to help.

Vacant Premier Teams

Torpedo Belper - NSA17 - 6th in PREM unmanaged! Paul's team forever from MOA fame originally. Amazing team, but hard to find one that won't be culled. They're that good. One of the most entertaining teams in the NSA. NOW TAKEN I BELIEVE

Vacant Division One Teams

Sinjuns - NSA12 - MIDTABLE - two long periods of being managed, until the last couple of seasons. Were a massive team, but remaining big players will be culled. Still plenty to work with and decent sized squad.

EASTCOTE - NSA36 - MIDTABLE - Richard's until very recently. A lovely squad with no super stars. Was attempting the historic triple promotion, but will fall sky of that.

RUISLIP - NSA54 - SURVIVING (just). REcently unmanaged after 8 seasons of gradually pulling up the NSA. Some beautiful players and a deep squad in quality, but plenty of culling needed. Should still leave a decent side though. Poor stadium needs a lot of work and money.

Real Academy - NSA62 - RELEGATING - long term unmanaged. Originally part of Lee's academy chain. Awful squad, having been culled previously. Not recovered yet. Not a great stadium either.

Victoria Park NSA5 - MIDTABLE - Apart from a couple of wobbles, have been called this for 30 seasons. Long term baby of DC. Never been in Prem. Decent squad in size and skill, with a third needing culling.

PSV Caley - NSA33 - RELEGATING - Alan's Toothill Tigers have rebranded 3 times recently but nothing can stop these ex-champs and SLFA winners going to div.2 for the first time in over 30 seasons. The squad has been culled recently although a couple more will go. Youths are doing ok and look decent for next year. massive stadium but that might be culled. following not amazing though.

Vacant Division Two Teams

Kingseat United - NSA42 - MIDTABLE - quite an old squad that will need some culling (from age rather than high skill/value). Not the original Kingseat, these guys were Hammerton Jetz/Jetz/Sandbay etc. Ex-T64 but also have been as high as 10th in the Prem!

Park Juniors - NSA52 - might go down. 14th place. Lovely little team. Some decent players though, with minimum culling. Ridiculous lack of stadium. Never seen anything like it. Previously known as Dundee Madrid (Danny Smith). Have never been in the Prem.

CARATONIONS - NSA7 - near relegation. Wayne's for a while, but once Marc's Longfield of Premiership glory. Great squad but will be culled. Lots to work with.

Vacant Division Three Teams

INTER ACADEMY - NSA49 - recently unmanaged after a great first half of the season. MIDTABLE. No culling appears necessary; decent squad and size and full youth squad. Nice stadium too. What are they doing in the 3rd?

Tottenham Vale - NSA47 - Ex-Premiership giants of Alan's. Now midtable in Div 3! The culled squad needs a bit more culling now some decent players are 31yo+. Needs work to turn around. Good stadium, currently.

Stonehaven - NSA61 - MIDTABLE - Will look a very average squad after a little bit of culling, but a lovely youth squad that have scored well this season. Nice stadium. These guys were the original Park Junior before renaming went crazy.

Baseball Fc NSA4 - midtable. Long term unmanaged since long term manager left. Small first team and stadium.

Angus United - NSA48 - Team 64 at the moment and likely to be so for the first time in their history. Full of 19-22yos. One needs culling. Actually quite an exciting prospect. Famous for getting promoted in 3 successive seasons (and also for being relegated in 3 successive seasons!) Also known as Belvoir Vale for many years.

PICKERING TOWN - NSA32 - MIDTABLE - Wayne's for some time. You might remember them as Badger County (Alan's). Looks like a decent squad that is recovering from being culled. Youth team doing well (top 20) with some decent players. most of their goals have come from a loan player called LeGood though.

Forest Row - NSA27 - Just missing promotion - Baby of DC - been Forest Row since time began (apart from little tweaks). First and youth teams look ok.

Stonehaven have been taken as they foiled my promotion hopes by drawing 3-3 at Lake;and last week

NSA has been really enjoyable this year, part of me wishes I had taken more teams in this instead of WPL, although that's probably down to the fact I am flying in NSA and been terrible in WPL, LOL!

Think that just shows the level of challenge in the WPL

But seriously I am sure a season of building up your two will bear fruit in the future :D

Its taken me a while to get MTK going this season. I was expecting a good season for them and now I'll be happy with 13th.

If Dave's signature is up-to-date, Forest Row, Stonehaven and Angus are taken.

Plenty of teams have struggled for years to get out of the 3rd in the NSA. To be fair though, the overall value of players has taken a hit with a few managers dropping teams and then being culled, balanced with some long term managers developing some really strong valuable squads.

I think Razor has taken back Torpedo, yes my signature is accurate.

John how many seasons did it take me to get FC Tayside out of the third Division?

I can't remember exactly when you saved them, Steve, but I know that they hold the record of 23 consecutive seasons in the bottom tier.

Were you there 8-10 of those?

Some good info on here. Looking it I guess I should be pleased in getting Glenfield out of Div 3 at the first attempt! Castlebay's turn next year maybe??

And Rich, you're absolutely right, WPL is harder than I imagined! New Town look decent on paper but just can't get it together. Got a couple of ideas for the remainder of this season and start of next, see if I can pull it together!
