Just when I thought the season was going to be a disaster week 27 came along and made things look a lot better. Despite that Charscot need to be very careful this week as we host 16th placed Praze, who are likely to relegate if they lose to us. have to hope we can build on the 6-0 away win and take a final step that should guarantee we are still in the top flight next season. 4-1 to us.

Likewise Dep El suddenly have breathing space below them in the promotion race at the top of Division 1, with a 6 point gap to fourth. We have two struggling sides and two sides going well to face so taking maximum points from our trip to struggling Whitebrook is imperative if we want to secure a return to the top flight. I will go for a 1-0 win to us.

Wascisco have been grinding out draws over recent weeks and we need to start winning games as we still have to face the top two in our remaining games so relegation is all but certain if we can't win our other two matches, first of which is at Beeston. Athletic have done superbly to get themselves out of any relegation trouble and their confidence will be high. 2-0 loss for us.

Ziaste have little to play for and are AM'ing no less than 3 starters this week so will be a weakened side hosting VAG Wolfsburg. Back to back defeats for VAG have hurt their promotion chances but they should win easily enough, 3-0 to them.

Castle Rock to lose 3-1 to Morrowind Lions.

Fenway to lose 2-0 to Grimbald.

LEAGUE FIXTURES

PREMIER

St Joseph's BC ....v.... Real Madrid
Beeston Athletic ....v.... Wascisco Red Sox
Rivendell ....v.... The Northerners
Balham Town ....v.... Rhyl F.C
Charscot Wanderers ....v.... Praze United
The Academy ....v.... A.F.C Binfield
Prestatyn Town ....v.... Carnbroe Rovers
Shaolin F.C ....v.... The Academy Reserves

A big week at both ends as we get down to the crucial last few weeks.
Real Madrid will be desperate to end their 3 game losing run, but St Joseph's are fighting for third place and could hurt Real's hopes.
Rhyl will be hoping to get Balham on one of their off weeks as when Town are playing well they are capable of thumping anyone. If
Rhyl can extend their lead past 3 points they will have a crucial cushion for their likely loss at Real in a couple of weeks.
A.F.C Binfield will probably be both pleased and disappointed with their season as they continue to fight for 3rd place. A top 3 finish
is commendable but there is so much more potential in the team and manager. A trip to a surprisingly struggling The Academy side
should prove favourable as Lee's team have found wins hard to come by and their usual top 6 aim is but a distant dream.
Wascisco have to be more attack minded against a Beeston side all but safe now as the draws leave the team too close to relegation.
Another side that have to be less negative is Carnbroe Rovers, who have been very cautious this season and this has resulted in just 4
wins. Both Carnbroe and Wascisco are fortunate to still have a chance of survival but the games are running out. This will be a big
week for both as Rovers have to look to win at Prestatyn Town, a side who rarely draw and are beatable.
Praze are probably relegating which is a shame as Chris has done a very good job to compete after he surprised most with his
excellent promotion last season. A visit to a suddenly (and finally) winning Charscot team is not what he needs with so few points
left to play for.

TOP 3 -
Rhyl will guarantee a top 3 spot if they don't lose or if both A.F.C. Binfield and St Joseph's BC lose their games
Real will guarantee a top 3 spot with a win and A.F.C Binfield failing to win

DIV 1

Ziaste Nequeno ....v.... V.A.G Wolfsburg
Longfield K.L.F ....v.... Cruzio Cortez
Broomhall Tigers ....v.... Seabourne City
Dutch Uncles ....v.... Callie Athletic
Whitebrook Rangers ....v.... Dep El Celtico
Barton Blitz ....v.... Vanbrugh Royals
Spondon Renegades ....v.... Ynysfawr Athletic
Ayrhead ....v.... Long Eaton Archers

Vanbrugh look realistically like they are back in the top flight and it is thoroughly deserved. Woody's Barton side should be no challenge
and the win will see them up.
A gap has opened up to fourth place even though the other teams in the promotion places haven't been unbeatable in the past couple
of months. However, Dep El and Longfield have done enough to feel they are close and both face sides in the relegation battle,
Cruzio and Whitebrook, this week and will be expected to get three points.
There are no less than 4 teams six points behind the top 3. Ziaste can be dismissed as they offload 3 players and are strictly in rebuild
mode for next season. VAG Wolfsburg, who have been in the hunt most of the season, should gain from this to maintain their challenge.
The other two, Ayrhead and Long Eaton, face each other and whoever loses is probably done and dusted, and a draw would probably kill
both team's chances. Ayrhead have been the best team bar Vanbrugh in recent months as it wasn't that long ago the idea of a promotion
chase would have been laughable. That momentum over the long haul should keep them in the race for now.
At the other end the luckless Dutch Uncles look doomed, as do Barton, who never recovered from a disastrous first week of the season.
Broomhall Tigers and Seabourne City probably need one win to be safe leaving Spondon, Cruzio, Ynysfawr and Whitebrook trying to avoid
14th place. The winner of Spondon v Ynysfawr may well gain enormously on a week when the bottom sides may struggle for wins.

PROMOTION -
Vanbrugh will promote with a win, or both Ayrhead v Long Eaton and Ziaste v VAG Wolfsburg being draws.

RELEGATION -
Dutch Uncles will relegate with a loss and Ynysfawr Athletic and Whitebrook do not lose
Dutch Uncles will relegate with a draw if Spondon and Whitebrook win and Cruzio avoid defeat.
Barton will relegate with a loss and Spondon and Whitebrook win and Cruzio avoid defeat

DIV 2

Broomhall Lions ....v.... Owlthorpe Rangers
MTK Budapest ....v.... Carnbroe United
Requiem Shark ....v.... Zakreze F.C
Grimbald ....v.... Fenway Valiants
Southpool ....v.... St John's United
Space Cadets ....v.... Amsterdam Athletic
Puigpunyent ....v.... Broomhall Eagles
Los Santos Cosmos ....v.... Fishtoft Athletic

Broomhall Lions have been the class of the division this season and should be celebrating promotion this week.
Carnbroe United can all but join them with a win at MTK and we could see the Sansome Brothers playing each other in Div 1 next season.
Third spot is down to three sides, Space Cadets and Zakreze, who both went on long winning runs to get into contention, with
Requiem Shark still very much involved. Cadets have a chance to go clear this week as they face 15th placed Amsterdam whilst
Zakreze and Requiem meets at the Shark's ground.
Fenway were gone before the season started and this should be confirmed this week. Never given a chance to succeed, all down to the
manager.
Five sides are trying to avoid joining Fenway in Div 3. Fishtoft and Amsterdam have been through the ringer in recent seasons with multiple changes in
manager and they are probably the favourites to drop at this point. However, Broomhall Eagles have been recently culled so Simon will have
his work cut out, whilst Alan's Owlthorpe are surprising strugglers. MTK Budapest will be hoping to pull away but the week's fixtures look
harsh for all the struggling sides.

PROMOTION -
Broomhall Lions will promote with a win and the Requiem v Zakreze match finishing a draw.

RELEGATION -
Fenway will relegate with a loss and Owlthorpe, Broomhall Eagles and MTK Budapest all winning

DIV 3

Milford Sound ....v.... Caglibari Calcio
Broomhall Panthers ....v.... Metal Militia
FC United ....v.... Stalybridge Celtic
The Reds ....v.... Avlon Villa
Davorin ....v.... Rapid Gentrification
Kilmarnock F.C ....v.... Emmy's Monstars
Colwyn Bay ....v.... Broomhall U23s
Castle Rock Furies ....v.... Morrowind Lions

Colwyn Bay have completely dominated this season and what was very quickly a 4 team race for promotion became a 3 team one when Stalybridge
started planning long term with training. Consequently, Div 3 has the least interesting run in by a long way as there is no doubt that Milford and
Davorin will also promote. They are all very deserving but it would have been good to have seen a proper consistent challenge from anyone in the
division but sides clearly had long term plans and weren't looking to chase promotion this season.
Milford will confirm their promotion this week with a simple win over control team Caglibari and Davorin can join them by beating fourth placed Rapid.
At the bottom all credit to Mike W for managing to actually challenge the control team for worst in the league. That isn't easy. FC United may be
good for a point this week to edge a point clear.

TITLE -
Already promoted Colwyn Bay will win the league with a win and a Milford Sound loss

PROMOTION -
Milford Sound will promote with a win
Milford Sound will promote if Rapid Gentrification fail to win
Davorin will promote with a win

Another very good week for the teams that matter..

As soon as I saw Praze's formation I was certain we would win 1-0, and we did and realistically we are safe now.

Dep El get a good 3-1 win on the road and one win from our final 3 games should be enough to promote.

Wascisco have been playing fairly negatively and the result has been a string of draws but with games running out it was time for a change, and that worked brilliantly as we recorded a dominating performance at Beeston that puts us 4 points clear of the relegation spots and with two of the bottom three playing very negatively it is hard to believe they will get the wins to catch us.

Ziaste dominated despite offloading 3 to the AM today and although we let in a late equaliser the draw helps out Dep El so happy enough.

Castle Rock and Fenway do their usual losing.

Same formation yes, but love to know how we had the same tactics as I have no idea what your tactics were so how could you know mine ?! Completely different individual player orders if you look properly so they weren't the same..

A defeat for Ayrhead sends us down to our lowest league position for two months. Congratulations to Mike and Long Eaton, but payback would come swiftly in the Opal Elite ...

Dutch Uncles end their 6 consequtive losses with a 1-1 draw with Callie. It felt like a win with recent results! Can't wait for next season with this team now.

Los Santos get a good home win with Fishtoft who are having a difficult time.

Rapid lose to Davorin just about expected.
