WEEK 22

Disappointing choice for the live match this week as Champions The Academy's routine victory over a weak Real Madrid side was selected.

Both the highlighted matches would have made better choices, as would the league leaders going down to a shock loss.

As it was the battle for third place that saw Charscot win 3-1 at Rhyl and A.F.C Binfield's thrilling 3-2 win at Balham Town were both merely highlighted.

WEEK 1

An interesting choice of matches on week 1 as some of the more obvious clubs were overlooked on the opening day.

Carnbroe Rovers 10 win over A.F.C Binfield was the surprise live choice as Rovers lived up to their reputation of starting a season strongly whilst A.F.C will be concerned at another disappointing opening week.

The highlights saw Dep El continue their dominance of Rhyl F.C on opening day as the visitors left with another easy 3 points with a 2-0 win.

The last match was a 1-1 draw between The Northerners and newly promoted The Academy Reserves.

WEEK 2

Made two glaring errors on week 1 and no one noticed/commented so I am left wondering if this thread serves any purpose so this may be the last week I post these details on the forum as redundant posts on the forum ned to be removed for space purposes. We will see..

On to week 2 and inexplicably the cameras are still showing hapless Rhyl F.C as the tv company seems to have forgotten that Rhyl are hopeless right now. This week their 2-0 loss to promoted Beeston AThletic was the main game.

Highlights were also on top flight sides as Dep El's 2-1 win over Balham Town and Real Madrid's flukey 1-1 draw at Shaolin F.C completed the tv package.

WEEK 3

No surprise as the live match saw the top two in the league play out a 0-0 draw allowing two other sides to join Long Eaton Archers and The Academy on seven points.

The only team to be on tv all 3 weeks is Dep El Celtico, whose 1-0 loss at Real Madrid was highlighted.

The final match saw A.F.C Binfield win 2-1 at The Northerners.

WEEK 4

The focus of the tv cameras stays on the top flight this week where just 3 sides have yet to appear before the cameras. Surprisingly two of the sides are the top two.

The live match saw Real Madrid stay undefeated with their third draw of the season as their match finished 1-1 at Beeston Athletic.

Dep El maintain their 100% appearance record as they beat St Joseph's BC 2-0 to move into third place.

The final match was a surprise choice as the viewers turned the drab 0-0 draw between strugglers Shaolin and Carnbroe off as quickly as possible.

WEEK 5

Inexplicably the leaders have still to appear on tv despite this week travelling to another high-flying side..

Instead the live match saw The Northerners beat Vanbrugh Royals 3-2.

That was an entertaining match and the Champions The Academy winning 2-0 at quality side Balham Town made sense too.

However, St Joseph's beating Beeston was a long way from a top of the table clash. Bizarre.

WEEK 6

Still the leaders don't make it on to tv.

This week the live match was inexplicably Beeston's 1-1 draw with Carnbroe Rovers. Beeston have been live 50% of the time this season with Rovers just a game behind. Bizarre.

The highlights package finally saw a match from outside the top flight as Whitebrook beat Callie 3-2 in Division 1.

The final match was Shaolin's dull 0-0 draw with The Northerners.

WEEK 7

Unbeaten leaders Charscot finally appeared on the tv and it really wasn't worth the wait as they lost 4-0 at Balham Town and dropped to third place.

Shaolin's 2-1 win at Long Eaton Archers was a fairly disappointing choice for the highlights package, with neither side exactly challenging yet.

The final game was a Division 1 fixture as Longfield K.L.F won 1-0 at Callie Athletic as the teams swapped places in the top 3.

WEEK 8

Dep El's 1-0 win over Long Eaton Archers that put them top of the league was chosen as the live match.

This was a surprise considering previous leaders Real Madrid were away to third placed Charscot Wanderers, a match that only received a slot on the highlights package.

The final tv game was an even more bizarre choice as the audience were treated to a dire goalless draw between Shaolin and win-less Rhyl.

WEEK 9

Real Madrid continue to stay unbeaten after their 1-1 draw at Balham Town today that was selected as the live match.

Highlights saw Charscot draw with A.F.C Binfield 2-2 in another battle of two top five sides going into the game.

The final match came from Division 1 as promotion chasing sides Wascisco and Seabourne faced each other with the Sox winning a one-sided match by a solitary goal.

WEEK 10

A disappointing set of games were chosen for the tv this week as little imagination was shown with both of the all top flight matches being shown.

Dep El overcame Long Eaton Archers after extra time 2-1 whilst Rhyl beat A.F.C Binfield by the same scoreline in regulation.

The final match saw top flight strugglers The Northerners beat Division One strugglers Rivendell on penalties.

WEEK 11

The tv company continues to pull bizarre choices. This week the top of the table clash between Dep El and The Academy, won 1-0 by the Champions, was overlooked for the live match and relegated to the second highlights match.

Instead the cameras showed Real Madrid's 1-1 draw with a plummeting Long Eaton Archers side who inexplicably now have 4 live appearances already.

The other highlights match saw A.F.C Binfield beat Shaolin F.C 2-1.

WEEK 12

A fairly obvious live match this week as Charscot in second place hosted Dep El Celtico in third. The hoists won 2-1 in a poor match.

A.F.C Binfield's 1-0 win at Beeston Athletic was the first of the highlighted matches.

It took 12 weeks but the final game finally saw Ziaste Nequeno appear on tv, the last top flight side to do so and also saw Real Madrid lose their first game of the season. Real have struggled against Ziaste over the years so the 1-0 loss is not quite the surprise it appears on initial glance.

WEEK 13

The live match saw form side St Joseph's BC win at Real Madrid 2-1 to move into second place.

The teams either side of BC formed the other two highlighted matches with Charscot's lucky 1-1 draw at Vanbrugh Royals and The Academy's excellent 2-0 win at A.F.C Binfield completing the line up of matches.

WEEK 14

Bizarre is the only word to describe the tv moguls choice of live match this week as the cameras dropped to the Division 1 clash between runaway leaders Longfield K.K.F and Broomhall Lions, a goalless draw.

Meanwhile the teams with the fewest defeats in the top flight this season met in a top three battle which saw The Academy return home with the points after a 3-1 beating of Charscot.

The other match saw Division 2 leaders Space Cadets inflict Southpool's first defeat of the season as a game with few shots on target (6 in total) resulted in a 2-1 win for the visiting Cadets.

WEEK 15

The tv cameras spent their week focused on the top 3 sides in the league.

Live focus was on St Joseph's BC's trip to Balham Town, where they recorded a 4-1 win to go top.

Highlights saw previous leaders The Academy concede a late equaliser at home to Beeston Athletic that dropped them to second place.

Third placed Charscot retained their spot with a 3-2 win at Shaolin F.C

WEEK 16

The live match this week saw the cameras focus on two sides in the top 6 who are just off of the pace of the top two as A.F.C Binfield hosted Dep El Celtico. Binfield came out on top 2-1.

The highlights package focused on the top two, St Joseph's BC and The Academy, as both sides won to pull further clear at the top.

WEEK 17

The cameras sadly chose to focus too much on the top flight this week in the second round of the cup.

There were two matches that featured all top flight clubs and one made the live match, Charscot v The Northerners, and the other was a highlighted match as Real Madrid surprisingly won at Balham Town via the penalty shoot out.

The third match saw Rhyl avoid a shock with a penalty shoot out win themselves at Whitebrook Rangers.

WEEK 18

Another week of Premier League matches despite some interesting battles at the top of the other divisions that surely were worth a viewing (Prestatyn/Longfield - Dutch/Southpool ??).

The live match saw St Joseph's BC return to the top of the league with a 2-1 win over Vanbrugh Royals.

Highlights saw The Academy's draw at The Northerners that cost them top spot and Dep El Cerltico's capitulation 3-0 at Balham Town.

WEEK 19

The top two were the main ficus again this week as St Joseph's BC goalless draw at Shaolin F.C was the live match with The Academy also failing to beat a Mike T managed side in another goalless draw.

The final match was the Division 2 battle between promotion chasing Southpool and false pretenders Castle Rock Furies. Sadly this match also failed to produce a goal on a week that saw tvs being switched off up and down the country.

WEEK 20

As usual for week 20 the focus was on the cup. Sadly the tv companies still couldn't see past the top flight sides with both of the all Prem clashes on tv.

The live match saw Ziaste Nequeno finally have a live tv match. Inexplicably the even more woeful opponents Beeston Athletic were making their fourth live appearance, a bizarre occurrence considering Beeston are completely hopeless this season with just one league win. Home advantage proved crucial as an entertaining game finished 3-2 to Ziaste.

Shaolin's excellent shock 1-0 win over league leaders St Joseph's BC was the first of the highlighted matches with Prestatyn Town's shock win over Premier side Carnbroe Rovers 2-0 completing the package. Considering the relative positions of the teams in their divisions it is debatable how much of a shock this result was and the omission of Spondon's excellent beating of Champions The Academy is simply wrong.

WEEK 21

Unless it is a cup week it is fairly clear the top two in the league are going to be the focus each week for the rest of the season. This week the cameras focused on current Champions The Academy, who took a heavy 3-1 loss at home to Balham Town to damage their title hopes for this season.

St Joseph's BC made the most of that result winning 3-1 at Beeston Athletic to open up a 4 point lead.

The final match was Division One's promotion battle between Broomhall Lions and Barton Blitz with the visiting Blitz winning 1-0 and leapfrogging the hosts and going third on goal difference.
