This is a bit experimental but I think it'll work out ok (we'll see). If you're in debt, you can't GIVE money in a transfer. You can still sell or do swaps, so long as you're the one receiving the money. Might be a bit controversial but we'll see. You also can't buy foreign players until the debt is cleared.

Foreign players now go back after 5 weeks if you don't buy them.

I've changed the transfer form a bit to make it more readable. Not as clear as I wanted but it might help a bit.

Fixed a few bugs after a player is bought. They were still picked for friendlies, the transfer fees weren't showing on the finances. Both fixed.

I still need someone to show me the turn when the wrong sub is bring brought on. Can't find any clear examples of this to work with. It might be due to a particular tactical condition not working correctly but on mine, it's always bringing on the correct subs.

If I can balance the finances properly, I think it'll work out. The ideal would be to have your club hovering around £1M in the black so that you're operating on an even keel but spending any excess on players. That's how I'd like to see it balance out eventually.

Speaking of which, I'm going to reduce the crowds during tonight's games. It should never have started with 30,000 per club so I'll reduce them all to 20,000 to see how the balance looks after that.

Have done this twice for you, would have helped if you had actually done it on either of those occasions ! With SS2 being crap for retention purposes (ie keeping a copy so these things can be proven from past turns) will now have to go and juggle tactics again. Need to recall the tactics as do believe it is the set of tactics to blame for this happening, sigh, REALLY wish yo had actually done this on either of the occasions I gave you the specific details !!

Been trying to go as far in debt as possible to see what I can break, now going to have to stop the scout going out lol

Did you email me your login? Because that's what I need. If you can recreate it, send your login details to glynn5.

Tolbury keep getting magically out of debt without me doing anything. Seems like there's just too much money to me and now I have a new main sponsor coming soon.....

Speaking of which, if anyone wants their team name changing, email it to my at glynn5. Since the test is probably going to run a bit longer, I don't mind and it'll help slightly in that I can tell who's playing and why the game is currently too easy (I'm still convinced it's because I was playing mostly unmanaged teams, my new season in the Prem isn't going so well).

yep, e-mailed you it twice, you even replied once to say you would look into it...safe to say you forgot to actually do that :-)

I actually am finding the money just tends to stagnate, not really going up or down. Have had to sign overpriced foreign finds to get into a nice big debt, won't be getting out of that before the test finishes probably lol

I was gonna buy the £10M facilities plot for just this purpose but a couple of foreign finds did the trick. I'm now easily out of debt again so it seems a bit easy. Having said that, so long as it's balanced, it doesn't really matter, the challenge is always to do better than your opponents rather than 'beat the game'. It just doesn't feel balanced right to me, but maybe knocking the crowds down a bit will do the trick.

Yep, feel the crowds and a (more) active market are the only ways to be truly sure how balanced the finances are as they are the two biggest ways of raising/losing money. Changing the crowds will help a lot in terms of testing.

That's true about the active market. It's hard to test right now, although I suppose it's fair to say that market activity is only money changing hands rather than being created/destroyed. So if I can get it balanced on one team, hopefully it'll balance out overall. That's pretty much what I did with SS1 anyway, although it was later ruined by GM's just giving people £100M for concerts etc.

As far as the finances go I tend to agree with Rich, if I don't do anything with it it stays around the same

Also I noticed with the promotions man I had,(though not for long) he was bringing amounts £6 and £10, clearly not worth employing

If your bank is staying fairly stable, then that's good. That's really how it should be, so that when you're looking to raise money for transfers, it'll be an issue, rather than a simple solution. Maybe you'll need to sell others to balance the books or something.

The promo man has some wild fluctuations. He can bring in millions but it's extremely rare. I think he's more volatile than the SS1 version but overall more beneficial since you're limited to how many trainer levels you can have now.

The limit to only level 2 coaches when in debt is only being applied when trying to change them, so if you have higher than level 2 coaches they are staying at the higher level until a change is attempted.

Fixed and the AI now fixes it's trainers (including when in debt) and training patterns. Something which they still don't do in SS1 although we sort of want them to lose in SS1 really.
