Due to the nature of SS2, where you'll 'load' your turn from the database every time you log in, instant transfers are an option. Overall, I think it's an improvement but I'd like some opinions and thoughts.

The way it would work is like this. Team A makes an offer to Team B. Next time Team B logs in, he'll see the offer on his turnsheet. He clicks the 'Confirm/Accept' button and the deal is completely immediately. As soon as Team B refreshes (something I may need to limit) or Team A logs in/refreshes again, they'll both see the deal completed. The player(s)/cash is/are now available to their new teams.

The advantages are fairly obvious, including the removal of the fiddly issue in SS1 where you can't play a player and sell him at the same time. Also, using the other option of waiting for matches to complete, you have to problem of players becoming injured and arriving at their new club with a 30 week injury which nobody knew about when the deal was finalized.

I should point out that completing a deal won't show the deal on your turnsheet at all. It is technically possible to have it complete and update on the turnsheet of Team B, when he hits the confirm button, but it's very fiddly and not really worth the hassle. It's easier to just confirm and then refresh to see if it's gone through. Having it update Team A's turnsheet may be technically impossible so a refresh will be necessary there.

I'm not sure how you guys arrange deals normally but I'm guessing it's mostly by email/messaging system of some kind. Using whatever system you use, it should be fairly easy and fast to get a deal done in 5 minutes. Arrange the deal, Team A logs in, puts the deal in, messages B back who logs in, hits confirm, messages A back, both refresh, done.

The major worry I have about this is people hitting refresh over and over and eating my bandwidth, which I have to pay for. There may be a way of limiting it to once every 10 minutes or something, which would hopefully solve it.

Any thoughts on this? Am I missing anything that may be important?

Oh and a quick question, right now in SS1, do FFM reset to average after a transfer?

Would a list of transfers be listed for all to see over a certain timeframe? If not, then instant transfers could be made one way - and then back again - opening up inappropriate shifting of money between teams/managers.

My gut instinct is that there should be a small but reasonable timeframe for the player to arrive; could you say that they are having their medical etc.? Maybe that isn't necessary with the way that ss2 will work though.

Yes, they reset to average morale and form but fitness carries over (from what I remember)! If maxing out players on bril FFM isn't going to be possible/so easy in SS2 then I think 'aver' is a bit silly - a high form player selling for big money would still in on hot form when they arrive at a new club. Could it be randomised instead?

Don't have strong views - those are just knee-jerk responses.

Only thought would be if anyone decided to cheat, would it make it easier for them this way? Guess as long as a list was up of all deals around then that could be checked to ensure fair play.

Yeah there'd still be a list of transfers made. Actually, that would also update instantly as the deal would just add on to the list. So if you did some kind of messing around, it'd all be shown on the list.

Could give the player some kind of delay before he can play, but not sure if it's necessary.

Yep, actually it'll have all limits removed. Theoretically you could swap 50 players (i.e no 3 player limit on it now).

Correction, it won't have 'all' limits removed. I'm still keeping things such as the monetary limitations to stop insane cheating attempts (i.e 0.75x to 1.5x the value).
