I know we are in the testing stages though I am slightly perplexed about how my side conceded a goal against a side that didn't get 1 shot on target? Result was 3-1 to the home team.

Stat
42% Percentage Of Play 58%
9 Shots On Target 0
8 Shots Off Target 5
4 Corners 1

Because it was an own goal. Own goals do not count as shots on target by the team who gains the goal, never have (see last midweek when a certain team in the CL qualifiers won 5-0 with only 3 shots on target) ;-)

Actually yes I should have read the whole script for that goal because it was an own goal. Me bad

Glad it was that simple. There may actually be moves which aren't registered correctly, but I think I got them all. There are situations where for example a shot on target is blocked by a defender rather than saved by the goalkeeper, so shots on target and saves don't always match up. With own goals, I don't think they ever register as a shot on target, because correct me if I'm wrong, but if it was a deflected shot on target, it doesn't count as an own goal. Only a deflected shot which wasn't going in, or a comical one such as Wycombe scored against Notts the other day, count as own goals.

Having said what I just said, I immediately find a match where my team had 4 shots (all 'Saved' highlights) and it only registered 3 on target.

A good few weeks on how are people finding their finances? I have 2 million in the bank however will need to re-new all contracts so I have a feeling just about breaking even by the start of the season....

Also how are we finding extra training? I have been observing anecdotally and still not seeing the improvements I would expect on training individual skills.

I'm breaking even easily but as we mentioned before, as ratings get higher, it will become harder and harder, so I think it's ok right now.

I put the calculations up for extra training a few pages back. I think it's about right, but it may be slower than SS1.

I've had some thoughts on SS2 in general, but I'm working on something else right now, but I do have a plan for it which I'll let you in on when I'm ready to put some work in.

I found this foreign player rated at excellent last week-

Ekon Owolabi - - good poor aver fair aver fair poor aver poor poor abys calm 26 (18) TRIAL TRIAL - £522,000

To my mind he is far from excellent. I've had a few other recent examples recently i.e. good rated players that have ratings at like 3 and 4.

I was lowering the ratings a bit in SS2 so it's not comparable to an excellent SS1 player. Although they do look a bit weak, goods should be 5 to 7, excellent should be 6 to 8'ish. Thing is, and this was also true in SS1, a 'brilliant' player doesn't necessarily have brilliant ratings. In fact, I should never have used the same description as the ratings because people expect them to match up. Would be better if they had a separate description imo.

Despite what you say Glynn the player isn't up to the excellent rating.

No, I don't think I was saying that :P I was saying, excellent finds don't have excellent ratings, so there should be a different description system (in both games).

Got this on my turn today -

James Tait's contract ran out this week. You can no longer play him in matches but, by SLFA rulings, you will be obliged to pay him a fair wage (set automatically whilst out of contract).

Would be fine except he was just promoted from the U16's one turn earlier..

James Tait - - v/pr poor poor poor v/pr good exce fair b/av fair abys wild 16 (1) £100 YTH -
1 £133,000

Ooh, how odd. You don't have two with the same name of something? Actually, I can see how it might happen, it promotes him, then does a contract check, flags the error, then changes him into a youth later.... maybe. Has it affected his ability to be picked? Is he working ok and it's just a misplaced error message?
