8 weeks to go.

Far too early on one hand, but who is in the driving seat?

Premiership:

Navenby are on a mission to shake up the NSA. They are 7 points clear and clear favourites. No one expected this diversion from the normal routine. So where are the usual suspects? Athlone (11th) and out of the title race. Kirkdale (5th) - they'll need a perfect run-in to make up 9 points. Isleworth (2nd) and seven behind... if Navenby falter in the next few weeks, I'm sure they will be hunting them down.

The Vale and Tottenham are ten points adrift at the bottom - I can't see them escaping that. There are six teams battling for the last relegation spot.

Division 1:

Zahrese are on fire and I can't see them not getting promoted - even with a poor run. There are arguably 8 other teams in the promotion chase. Allestree started well but have faded into drawing too much.

Caratonions look set for double relegation. Vale Fledglings are also very likely to go down. Their goal differences are both very poor.

Division 2:
I wonder if the top three can maintain this 5 point lead? Otters, Frog, Dynamo seem to be doing a good job.

Castlebay look doomed. Baseball follow up last year's surprise low finish with an even worse performance.

Division 3:
Crazy at the top with four main front runners - but only three can go up. Riverside, Mearns, Moles, Eastcote - someone will be disappointed. Tayside hope that more than one will be disappointed!

Blackburn will be T64.

Believe me nobody expected Navenby to be where they are any anymore so than me!

Through a little bit of luck as I've failed to get my turns back a number of times, but it would appear the computer plays the game better than I do!

Good luck to all, and lets hope I don't crash and burn as my other teams barring Waddington in the MOA are not where they should be!!

You've got a habit of being a champion, Leigh; you don't seem to just get promoted, but do it convincingly. I'd say you've got it sorted. 8)

Moles have only lost 3 of the last 40 games, which ought to make us certs to go up - trouble is we have drawn 6 of the last 8 and are in an almighty battle to get promored.

Trouble is we face 3 of our rivals in the next 4 games so our destiny is in our hands

Thanks for the kind words- Its been a journey with this team, went from the top to bottom div, then all the way back up again. Be nice to cap it off with the league title. Big game tonight v's Dark Alliance, could be key.

4 weeks to go - how many of those 12 points can you get?

This week's news: Double Vale Disappointment! Tottenham Vale and The Vale both get relegated from the Premiership. The control team, Blackburn Olympic, rightly take the prize for being Team64 with four weeks to go.

Prem.

Champions
1 from 5 with Navenby six points clear of Isleworth (the only real challenger left).

Relegated
TOTTENHAM VALE, THE VALE + 1 from 8. Vale Veterans are currently there but Torpedo have a terrible GD and Partizan are in freefall.

Div. 1

Top
3 from 9.
Zakrese are one point from promotion. Allestree not far behind. Korova most likely to be the third.

Bottom
3 from 7.
Caratonions are 9 from safety. Vale Fledglings have an equally horrific GD and will probably join them.

Div. 2

Top
3 from 12!
Frog are pretty much there unless there was a significant turn of GD and the most extraordinary luck. Dynamo are seven clear of 4th place. Otters currently occupy the third spot but it's very close going down to the top 6.

Bottom
3 from 12.
Castlebay beat promotion chasing Fetteresso (and they were on a 5 game winning run!) and so they are only 5 from safety. 22 points is rather high for being bottom of the league. It's going to be a close run-in.

Div. 3

Top
3 from 9.
Eastcote and Riverside lose so there are 5 or 6 teams still in the hunt, once you account for fixtures.
Mearns and Moles would be gutted to not promote given how hard they have been to beat. I fancy that Ropery will pip Riverside because they are so hard to beat, too - but they must turn draws to wins for the remainder of the season.

Team 64
BLACKBURN OLYMPIC (Control team)

Too many draws for Loco, just not making any headway away from the drop zone

As John said it is very close in Division 3 with only 8 points separating the top 6 and only 5pts the top 5.

Mearns------------51pts (GD+19)
Moles-------------49pts (GD+35)
Riverside---------48pts (GD+17
Ropery------------46pts (GD+18)
Eastcote----------46pts (GD+15)
Tayside-----------43pts (GD+10)

Week 28

Brora Rangers (13th) v Mearns United (1st)
Moles Rangers (2nd) v Eastcote (5th)
Lakeland Jags (9th) v Riverside Athletic (3rd)
Ropery Rovers (4th) v AFC Liverpool (10th)
Newtonhill (8th) v FC Tayside (6th)

Week 29

Mearns v Liverpool
Moles v Newtonhill
Riverside v Eastcote
Ropery v Lincolnshire
Tayside v Roundhill

Week 30

Angus v Mearns
Lakeland v Moles
Round Hill v Riverside
Brora v Ropery
Eastcote v Tayside

Week 31

Blackburn v Mearns
Tayside v Riverside
Forest Row v Moles
Everton v Ropery
Round Hill v Eastcote

The two teams with the easiest run in are;
Current leaders Mearns with the 4 teams they face all in the bottom half of the table - but as we all know there are not many easy games at this stage of the season and
4th placed Ropery with 4 games against teams in the bottom half of the table.

2nd placed Moles have 5th placed Eastcote followed by 3 games against teams in the bottom half of the table.

3rd placed Riverside have a tough looking run as they face improving Lakeland, then Promotion chasing Eastcote, John's Round Hill and finally promotion chasing Tayside.

5th placed Eastcote and 6th placed Tayside also have tough looking games:

Eastcote face 3 of the promotion chasers and finish with a game against John's Roundhill
Tayside face 2 of the promotion chasing sides plus John's Round Hill

It is also interesting that John's Round Hill face 3 of the promotion hunters so he will have a big part to play

Great work Mike. I thought the fixtures were quite tough for Riverside and Eastcote too. But who knows? Two good results and the tables will change. Round Hill will play hard and fair to the very end and treat all games as important as each other because they certainly will affect the end positions.

Division 3 gets tighter with now only 6 points separating the top 6!!!!

Week 28

Moles moved to the top with a win over Eastcote, who remain 5th but 3 pts off a promotion slot.
Mearns are off the top spot after defeat to Brora and with DaveC, looking like he is absent at present, they could fall away - the saving grace is they face 2 bottom half teams.
Ropery are into 3rd place after a 2-0 over Liverpool and with Riverside losing to Lakeland, Riverside drop to 4th.
Tayside keep their hopes going with a 3-1 win at Newtonhill

Moles-------------52pts (GD+37)
Mearns------------51pts (GD+18)
Ropery------------49pts (GD+18)
Riverside---------48pts (GD+16)
Eastcote----------46pts (GD+13)
Tayside-----------46pts (GD+12)

Week 29

Mearns v Liverpool
Moles v Newtonhill
Riverside v Eastcote
Ropery v Lincolnshire
Tayside v Roundhill

The big game this week is 4th placed Riverside at home to 5th placed Eastcote. Tayside also have a tough game at home to John's Roundhill.

Week 30
Angus v Mearns
Lakeland v Moles
Round Hill v Riverside
Brora v Ropery
Eastcote v Tayside

Week 31
Blackburn v Mearns
Tayside v Riverside
Forest Row v Moles
Everton v Ropery
Round Hill v Eastcote
