Biggest game of the season for Taynton as we host Askham Bryan Athletic in a game we really to win if we are to stand a hope of promotion. A win still wouldn't leave fate in our own hands but with being 4pts adrift we have to get the win.

Big week also for MTU as we travel to Swinfen Hall. We have given ourselves a chance of staying up but need to keep collecting points. I would take a draw now if the option came up but a win would do miracles for our chances of staying up.

Stainsacre have to beat Hill Foot and hope that Taynton take points off Askham Bryan to have a chance of promotion, Rapid play AC Arsenal and a win will maintain their division 2 status. An Askham win and they are Promoted.

Askham Bryan thrashed and so the last promotion place can go down to anyone up to sixth who are Stainsacre FC who won 1-0. Rapid Moseley won and so stay up and having looked at the league table with a win on the final day could end up as high as 8th.

What a week!!!

MTU stay up after a smash and grab win at Swinfen Hall, very pleasing recently since a couple of changes as we have picked up 11 from last 15pts on offer to survive :-)

Taynton shock me by smashing Askham for 5 and now sit 1 point of them in 4th place. Initially I was going to say we need to better their result for promotion but with any number of teams in with a shout we have to win and hope Askham draw or lose to promote, the bad news is we are away at Champions Oaken Raiders so again will be a tough ask.

Well Celyn went to Wolverines, who are relegated; we had only lost 2 all season and looking good for the title. You can guess the rest as we lose 2-1 and Exeter win so down to the last week.

I need to start this week by paying tribute to the great job that Carl has done at March Town United over the past couple of months. When he played my three Premier league sides in the first half of the season, he picked up just one point from the three games. With today's win he has picked up nine points from a possible nine in the three games against my three sides in the back half of the season. Given that all three sides use different tactics precisely because I don't want anyone to beat all three  he's done really well.

So March Town edged an even game at Swinfen Hall to save themselves from relegation. Swinfen Hall can finish anywhere between 3rd and 6th depending how results go in the last week. I'm fairly pleased with Swinfen Hall this season as they have won half of their league games. they would have done better though if they had turned some of their 10 losses in to draws.

FC Chivas were poor again and have now not won any of their last nine league games. Their main problem continues to be a lack of goals whilst conceding too many and the fact that Kristijan Strak is their top scorer this season with five says it all. They'll finish 9th unless Kilburn get more points than them next week.

Bromsgrove Rovers were shocking and continue to prove that they can still get worse. If it wasn't for the fact they are playing the equally dismal FC Chivas next week I would be worried about them finishing 13th, given the better football being played by Hornets and March Town.

ASP Gold Star surprisingly beat Cair Paravel and with the teams around them not winning means they have a chance at promotion next week. To be certain though they have to beat division leaders Exeter. A draw will only be enough if Waldridge Park don't beat Oakwood Rangers. Should ASP lose a win for Woodvale or Waldridge Park (or a draw for Waldridge combined with a heavy defeat for ASP) would deny them.

Oaken Raiders won their eighteenth league game of the season to win Division Two.

Askham are home to Mann United Carl so don't take it for granted we'll win.

I'd like to make the excuse that I made wholesale changes after winning the league....but I didn't. Only the one change...the boys must have simply been on the p**s all week. :P :P

Well done anyway.

Fivehead do the double over Inter who have no wins in four & need to do better than Swinfen next week to get a consecutive top three finish, very even game this week, but Fivehead were clinical in front of goal, Kilburn are ending the season on a high & are unbeaten in six, pity the first haslf of the season wasn't as good, they could finish ninth next week if Chivas slip up, need Mark to haver an off day on both counts
