A 1-0 defeat for AFC Scarborough in a game which could have gone either way.

Another week in ss land passes ....... roll on monday when I can get back in the managers office

Wba V City

Well two of my teams faced off this week in a high octane Div1 clash , Wba have a caretaker manager in there dugout , he is no stranger to the Wba faithful as he had a stint last season , so thanks Craig for taking the time to manage the Wba lads.

Well with both my teams facing off I would have taken a draw before kick off to keep them both ticking along at the start of the season but both teams had other ideas ! The whistle blows for kick off and City come out the blocks from the off pinning Wba in there own half ! credit to Wba as the defence holds up and Foster is in fine form saving numerous attempts from the City front line to keep the scores level at the break the gulf in class was evident all the first half with Wba being reduced to long range efforts and one shot on target.

Whistle blows for the second half and again Wba get pinned back in there own half as City come out again showing the gulf in class to the Wba lads and they finally get there rewards in the 71st minute as Enes De Bruyne gave Madchester City the lead as he headed in magnificently from twenty yards after some good passing football ! this goal gave Wba the rocket they needed and I could hear Craig giving out the orders , sub and the rollicking the Wba lads deserved as the game turns on it's head from that moment ! City looked to be running out of steam and that was evident in the 83rd minute as sub Oliver Burke converts from the penalty spot to haul Wba back into the game and City are then sent home with there tails between there legs as last seasons top goalscorer Kanu gets his first of the season in the dying embers of the match with the ref putting the whistle in his mouth ..... Tyler Robson-Kanu headed in magnificently from two yards following some good build up play down the left to mark a great come back for the Wba lads !!!!!

City deserved something out the game and will hope they can get over this result quickly but full credit to Wba as they hold out till the final minutes to snatch an unlikely win .....

Forest put in a dominating display at home to Highland United to continue there fine start to the season ! creating plenty of chances and should / could have had alot more goals with hitting the woodwork and wasting a fair few chances as the Highland gk Jack Sandoval had plenty of work to do ! but we are happy to come away with the 3 pts in any way we can........

Have a good weekend all 8)
